  1. It's been a season for breaking records and the best in the 132 year history of our wonderful Club. Well done to all concerned.
  2. The reason Duckenfield is coming under so much fire is simple. A) he was the man in charge of the Police on that day and B) the bastard lied and continued to lie within 20 minutes of the start of this tragedy. Now folk may not like it but they are the facts and it portrayed the Commander has a complete incompetent. And still after 27 long years he still has escaped prosecution, well let's hope the revelations of this week bring him to book. As I've said before "the passage of time should not diminish the crime"!!
  3. I agree about it being a falsehood but it doesn't stop some folk still, erroneously saying they were drunk.
  4. Look at message 62, there is a statement suggesting as much.
  5. Do you know how many of the 96 were "drunk"? Do you know how many of the 96 had alcohol inside them? If the answer to those questions is no, then you should consider making sweeping generalisation statements in the future. My only criticism of the Liverpool supporters is why did so many leave it so late in getting to the ground, after all they knew the kick-off times weeks in advance.
  6. And the Liverpool fans aren't responsible for making Duckenfield take the erroneous decision to open gates that caused the crush and deaths. The passage of time should not diminish the crime and he has to face up and be responsible for his appalling actions.
  7. Duckenfield was in charge that day for the policing which includes crowd safety and upholding the law. He failed abysmally and has to take the can. I agree he is not alone but the buck stops with the "top" man. It is NOT the fault of the families of the victims that it has taken 27 years to get to this point. Not only did this squalid individual order the opening of the gates at the Lepping Lane's end he then lied and allowed police constables on duty that day to falsify their notebooks to nullify their inadequacies and push the blame elsewhere. This is reprehensible and cannot be defended.
  8. You seem to be forgetting the prat who led the Police on that fateful afternoon lied through his teeth within 20 minutes of this tragedy happening. The bastard should be hung!!
  9. It is a very sad fact that football has had to endure this tragedy for all supporters to be safe today. There are so many facets to this human tragedy and it should not have taken 27 years to conclude, it is an absolute disgrace that it has.
  10. Superb strike from England's No. 9. It was hit with venom and no hesitation from over 20 yards out and, without doubt, the Premier League goal of the season probably the world.
