I think people use the word great so readily nowadays that it doesn't have real meaning. A "great finisher" to me is some who is genuinely prolific. For example Arthur Rowley, the best centre forward England never had, just look at his record!!
-
Well on that basis there is no need to introduce VAR then.
-
If you're offside, whether it's an inch or a yard, you're offside. The thing I'm most concerned is the amount of interruption there will be or will it be a case each side is only allowed so many appeals per game? Anyway it won't be introduced until the start of next season for league matches at the earliest. Just think how unfair it would be if they brought in straight away to league games with all those dodgy decisions which have gone on prior to yesterday. So, don't worry about Vardy nipping in behind the Totteringham defence.
-
I wouldn't use the term "great finisher". You have to remember the state of the opposition last night and you'd expect him to get a couple of chances. Yes, he took his goals well and if he can replicate that in the League then his price tag won't look so embarrassing.
-
It's something you see week in week out and have done so for years. All the so-called great players from Shearer to the present day have been trying and succeeding in conning the referee. I don't condone it but it's nothing new. They used to call it "gamesmanship".

Well done Claude and all the players. Puel has done extremely well since being appointed, we're not shipping so many goals in and play through the midfield with, in the main, fluent passing which is a pleasure to see. He will know by now the Club's strengths and weaknesses.

Leicester v Fleetwood - FA Cup Replay Pre-match Thread
David Hankey replied to Wymsey's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm not bothered about the line-up. Just go out there and let the 'Cod Army' know who's boss. Should be no contest, on paper!! -
Sounded like a great 0-0, pity we didn't have that killer instinct to see Chelsea dead and buried by halftime.
-
But we didn't win!! I agree great tactics if you can get away with it.

Philippe Coutinho v Riyad Mahrez comparison
David Hankey replied to benn's topic in Leicester City Forum
Whatever Riyad's price tag is it should be around £90M it just illustrates how overpriced Slimani, Musa & Ihenancho were. -
The FA Cup has been diminished long ago with EPL clubs putting out under-strength teams with some not bothering at all if they get knocked out. You only have to look at Leicester City's starting line up yesterday.

Perhaps I should have used the term "recent" actions/displays. -

What baloney!! We thoroughly deserved to win the title, just look at our form that season, consistent and well above all our rivals. I'm talking about "current" before yesterday game. I wish some would read posts properly before answering. -
Thank you......................................

Repeat; "on current form", no wins 1 draw and 3 losses in 4 and 9 goals conceded. Some folk believe it's inevitable that we should lose away at L'pool, sorry I don't buy that. We should build on the 1-0 early lead if our ambitions are to move higher up the table. -
Why shouldn't we beat Liverpool away? Excellent start but again we showed we're no good at dog walking!!
-
to Swansea and Bournemouth to keep Leicester City in 8th spot as on current form we don't deserve to be there. Vital to get a home win against the Terriers on Monday.
-
Swansea 2-1 up!!
-
What's that got to do with this thread?!!
-
So much for Salah being rested!!
-
Despite the antics of the match official to spoil a fantastic game this result means Leicester City have handed the title to United's 'Noisy Neighbours' and that must hurt Moanrinho more than anything.
-
As a goalkeeper one mistake normally results in a goal where outfield players can do the same, give the ball away etc and not be penalised. The only problem I have with Kasper is not so much his distribution but his ability to build and position a wall. Perhaps Claude should send him to night school for bricklaying!! Happy Christmas!!

Not many above 4!! -
No good berating the referee although I agree some of his decisions were bizarre. When you play that poorly you expect to lose.

5-0 or they'll be trouble!!
