I still have a niggle in the back of my mind that these chancers will bring some kind of case against the EFL due to lack of earnings due to the points deduction, despite it all being completely their fault. No accountability.

Going to be someone like Lee Johnson or Will Still.
Think I’d prefer Johnson’s assistant. Neilson has done pretty well every where he’s been. Only ok at MK Dons I suppose. Certainly better than Johnson has done.

I mean at any other club maybe. I think it would be more unfathomable for King Power to communicate or show some accountability at this stage.
Yep Agree.
This is me trying to look on the brightside. (there isn't one an I'm kidding myself)
But it may be that there is more movement on everything after this weekend, all the playoffs will be decided etc...
Might be that they are just on holiday and don't care anymore.

Hold on maybe pep wants a real challenge. 🤪

Kolo Toure. If pep leaves. (Not my choice)

I might be wrong but Gary Rowetts contract does not finish until the end of June so surely they won’t bring anyone else in until that expires.
They are not going to sack him with six weeks to go and no point putting him on garden leave and paying two managers wages
No but they will just say he will leave at the end of his contract.
We appointed Enzo before July despite Dean smith having a job until the end of the season.

My gut tells me this will get a lot worse before it gets better.

You have to be specific with statements like this. The people in charge might take us the wrong way out again.

Following relegation to Ligue 2 last season, Stade de Reims’ objective this season was to return to Ligue 1. Karel Geraerts was the man brought in to achieve it last summer. However, he has fallen short. Not only did Les Stadistes miss out on automatic promotion, they didn’t even make the play-offs.
That said, it would show some initiative to be looking elsewhere.

I guess might explain the Enzo visit on the GR 1st game.

Revell? That would be a big step up for him.
Is he from Cambridge Argentina?🇦🇷 Or am I just stupid and missing something(completely plausible 🤪)

You could say whoever loses the play off final deserves a look as well. Be that Challinor, Schumacher or Alexander
Schumacher has already shown a desire to move upwards in the past. I think he was hard done by at Stoke too.
Schumacher has done pretty well every where. Stoke is a bit of a badly run club. Walters isn’t the best DOF according to their fans.

I don't know if any of these are vaguely good enough. But I can get on board with young signings with something to prove. Whether that released from higher level or making there way up the leagues.

We rightly slate Rudkin but it sounds like even he is left in the dark as to when Top will make these kind of decisions.
He's only ever acted when he's been in the country too. Which of course, isn't even that often.
I could write essays on how bad this is. If someone told me this was deliberate sabotage id completely believe it at this point.
I've said this in the past it feels like its either that(i don't think he is but it feels like it) or he is so naive verging on stupid that he doesn't get it.

Yes, you certainly could if you were 100% certain about that. However if you were pursuing other candidates but wanted to keep Rowett as a back-up option, you wouldn’t say anything. To be honest, that’s where I think we’re at: the club is targeting candidates already in work but is not certain we will get any of them, hence the awkward silence on Rowett.
Think mine like a lot of peoples patience has ran out with the people running the club, all your points are 100% valid. But it all feels like groundhog day.

If we’re paying compensation for somebody we might not be able to afford it until July 1.
But you can still say Rowett isn't continuing?

Yep, but it’s not like the starting position under RvN even needed inflating to illustrate the point being made. The fact we beat both quite comfortably at the end of the season and finished at least highest of the relegated 3, to see the seasons all 3 have had this season is shocking.
Oh absolutely. Again comes down to bad appointments and recruitment.

Last season, we started mid table when RVN took over. Both Ipswich and Southampton were struggling in relegation zone.
We hired RVN and we went straight back down, but still above Ipswich and Southampton.
This season, Ipswich has been confirmed as going up together with Coventry. Southampton going to Wembley. Leicester relegated. Incredible failure on the managerial and club management side.
Mid table? 1 point and 2 positions above the relegation zone when RVN took over. That lot of players would’ve got relegated under cooper too. Both dreadful appointments.
It’s all down to the decisions at the top and that flows down. -

Robbie Neilson
Get him to teach thoma about a proper long throw.
But Actually I can see Neilson being an option. To be fair looking at Stats alone he's done alright at most places really. Would also support the narrative about someone in a job they have 2 play off games one 17th, the other 23rd.

I've watch the last few Scottish prem game weekends, thought the standard isn't as high well, loads of energy, worth watching tonight as as it could be the first time since 1985 that someone other than Celtic or Rangers win the league and you can watch Cartwright play against hearts who are the Scottish champions elect.

I don’t think any club issues regular updates on their manager searches until they’ve actually got some news. Remaining silent until an appointment is made is the norm.
A handful of clubs have already published their retained lists but the large majority haven’t. We never publish this early. Last year we published ours on 28 May; in 2024, it was 10 June.
We’re all impatient to get last season’s absolute shit show out of our system and move on, hence the desperation for any news that indicates the club is moving forward. But the ‘radio silence’ from the club is not particularly strange—it’s standard procedure at this time of year.
You are right of course but I think as a football club they have found themselves in a mess with everything and everyone. Just feel that they could do something to ease fears, after the mess they’ve made. Though that would mean acknowledging the mess they made.

We’d never sign or appoint anyone that has something to do with Southampton
