I would second Mam Tor and Castleton as a base is a good place for a stopover, lots of decent pubs but the place does get busy.

I’ve always appreciated Big John’s

I saw Bologna on 12 dishes in 12 hours and it looked class.

Downtown Abbey by the looks of it! As others have said, on the face of it, it’s not that bad as don’t know what else the door fitter is supplying and fitting with the doors such as hardware and whether they removing the old door. Get a few quotes and jobs a good’un.

The one at the top is who we thought we were getting on loan, the one on the bottom is who we got.

That’s what I’ve done too. It’s been a long time since I’ve used the weights and machines at the gym but been using them for about 2months regularly and it is amazing how quickly you see results and positive changes in yourself, even if less evident to others. I’ve been a gym goer for a longtime but haven’t pushed myself last 3/4years and probs haven’t had the confidence to use machines and weights. Next step for me will be to try get out of bed early enough to use the gym before work, to free up evenings.

No, didn’t know about it until today. So watched that too! Used to listen to down the line, so this was a decent find.

The Kemps: All Gold was pretty funny last night. Really like Rhys Thomas’ stuff and this didn’t disappoint.

The Taj is a great takeaway, one of the best in Leicester. Restaurant wise it’s pretty much what people have mentioned, there’s also some great South Indian restaurants in Leicester Shivalis, Chettinad, Kayal, to name a few.

I’d recommend the wine tours around Cavtat, I can’t find the details of the one we did but it was great and the food and wine was free flowing! The islands off Dubrovnik were quite interesting too. Pretty easy to get to dubrovnik from cavtat via bus or boat.

Based on the fact you’ve said it varies according to humidity and temperature, the damp is probably due to salts in the chimney which attract moisture. The chimney walls may also have been replastered in a gypsum based plaster at some point which trap moisture and salts. Check the chimney stack externally for signs of leaks and do vent the chimney if you can. If it’s a solid floor, make sure that no wall plaster is in contact with the solid floor. Also, some of the damp appears to be to external walls, so check the external ground levels against the damp proof course. The internal walls may have to be replastered with a breathable plaster and salt affected walls treated with a waterproof solution.

Would recommend the DoubleTree Centraal Station, the location was convenient for an weekend and the hotels great too with its own rooftop bar. Would also recommend a place around to corner to eat there Grand Cafe 1884 and Omlegg was decent too for breakfast/lunch

It would be a good idea to get plans produced as spending a bit of money upfront could save you a lot of money and time during the build. Plus any good builder won’t be able to give you an accurate price without plans and you will need for building regulations anyway. I’d say get some quotes for plans from local architects and architectural technologists and take it from there.

First time going to the comedy night at the LaughterLoft aka the Black Horse in Aylestone last night, quality pub and night out.

The elephant safari at minneriya near Dambulla was great. Kandy is an interesting place too and did a brilliant cooking class here if that’s your thing. We went in March and it was hot throughout, T-shirt weather. Travel was pretty easy to get to places as well, we did a combo of train and mostly taxis.

Booked to go on family holiday to Menorca in Sept. I booked the hotels direct with the hotel and the flights with Ryainair separately but managed to save £1,000 or so. I rate Jet2 but their prices have gone through the roof.

We stopped in Cala Bosch last September which was a chilled out family resort built around a harbour, probably going back again later this year. We didn’t explore the rest of the island I’m afraid!

Finished watching series 2 and 3 of Jack Ryan, it’s a bit ridiculous at times but an enjoyable watch. Started watching the Mandalorian now.

I’d recommend Fraser James Blinds in Enderby, they fitted some blinds to my bifold doors and the service was great. Whatever you do, don’t use Hillary’s. They fitted some wooden blinds and their customer service was awful, took about three attempts for the fitter to come.

England Vs France - Saturday 10th Dec - 19:00

You can only beat what’s put in front of you. Germany, Belgium, Spain all played similar ranked sides and not faired so well. Argentina lost to Saudi, how many of their players play in the top leagues! I think we can give the manager ‘some’ credit. -
That unforgettable and iconic performance from music royalty, Jamie Afro’s spine tingling rendition of Sex on Fire.
