  1. It sounds to me like BB-M is in pole position to get the job, come 1 July and his current boss is given the boot. Could be worse - we save a bit of money, he knows the players and has a good record (with Man City) of bringing young players through.
  2. Wymsey said on 1 June that he thought Dyche would be our man - he went on to tease us with eyes a couple of days later. Whoareyaaa, added that the eyes were below a Dyche post. So, I don't think jv1's comment that it's "tenuous at best', holds up. I think there's mileage in what Wymsey says (he has a bit of a track record for good info) and if I was a betting man, I'd put money on Dyche at 6/4 (currently).
  3. Got to say these posts from Outfox & Frankie lead me to think that Rohl is still an option, but no more than that. The point about his desire to go back to Germany, is a big minus for me. What's more concerning is Wymsey appearing to talk up Dyche's chances!
  4. Wasn't Rohl, Hassenhutl's Assistant at Southampton? So, I guess he'd have a similar approach to games. I'd be (reasonably) happy with Hassenhutl - given the quality of Managers who are likely to want to come to us at the moment. His record (apart from a few matches at Southampton - one particularly!) overall, is pretty good. I'd probably prefer Rohl, but even if we do manage to get him, he'd soon be on his way to any Bundesliga club, if a decent vacancy cropped up.
  5. Should we read anything in to that statement, Stan?! There's only one Danny in our mix at the moment - and we know you sometimes, have 'insights' into what's occurring at the KP!
  6. Great, perhaps I was looking at an old odds list. I thought it strange, as I posted Martin being odds on only yesterday
  7. Martin evens now, with Scottish media saying Ancelloti is still in talks.
  8. Martin back as odds on favourite at Rangers - 1/2 - after speculation that the new owners & management see him as a better fit than Ancelloti.
  9. Yep. The Villa are doing that, it helps their PSR calculation significantly.
  10. I haven't seen any news to support Ancelloti's odds going out - all the latest media reports are saying he's pretty much a done deal.

  13. Martin now 4/7 favourite at Rangers. There must have been some update, that possibly puts Ancelloti out of the mix.

  16. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/next-rangers-manager-live-ancelotti-35307185.amp Ancelloti to Rangers, 99% sorted. Ah well, Russell Martin seems to have only one 'iron in the fire' now - and it will be a fire!
  17. Ancelloti's odds have gone out a bit this morning, Martin's come in (now 7/4).
  18. Yep, the Buddhist connection will add a big plus for Top. And I like the point about the last time we got Buddhists involved - if you believe in that sort of thing.
  19. The article talks about him wanting to come back to the UK, to be with his partner. Does anyone know where she lives (I guess, London, if she is / was with Sky)? That could be important - nearer Leicester, or Southampton.
  20. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/exclusive-preston-north-end-agree-deal-to-re-sign-leicester-city-daniel-iversen-on-permanent-basis/ Already the first transfer out. Iversen to Preston.
  21. Yep, a Vards volley, set up by a James assist. Just like old times!
  22. I agree Davies would be a great shout, but I think we've missed the boat with him. There's no way he'll leave a buoyant Brum, in the same Division, with all the money and promise they've got, for us at the moment!
  23. That's very interesting. The article is behind a paywall, so I can't see it all, but it does start by talking about Barry-Murphy having a training bust up with someone - who is that with? I'm not surprised about Hughes teetering on the brink - his set pieces are about as effective as a snowman's 'bedroom technique'.
  24. Yeah, but Murphy would be the boss. While he's only actually managed Rochdale, his CV at Man City is impeccable. And we took the gamble on Maresca with very similar background and experience - and that paid off.
