  1. Well which is the biggest achievement is subjective isn’t it? I don’t think we should overlook him making fox_favourite want to bone him.
  2. Just ****ing with Foxes Talk, you have to respect it.
  3. My nephew’s wife works on the DDRS and she says Hamza thinks it’s Dyche
  4. Why should Southampton’s appointment make even the slightest bit of difference to ours?
  5. If he joins Rangers I hope Ipswich was his last goal in club football
  6. I won’t start celebrating just yet then.

  8. There is some warped deranged part of me that’s excited for the fixture list still
  9. Did some excellent clock-running-down when we needed him to and won the Premier League.
  10. When did AI start scraping my dreams?
  11. No it's his managerial skills (which recruitment is definitely part of). The ability to bring good staff into every department at the football club and give them the freedom to do their jobs. The ability to identify players who aren't interested in the collective and fighting to remove them regardless of their reputation. The ability to identify the right players to sign, the knowledge of how to handle them, the bravery to prioritize long term success ahead of short term success and the ability to actually achieve that. Always putting a team out that at the very least looked committed. Taking us from the worst point in our history to our highest. I loved listening to his barbed interviews with Stringer, and all of that other stuff, but it's not why he's idolized. He's idolized because he created the greatest team in our history.
  12. There's huge overlap between what makes a really good manager and a Director of Football. Great managers do most of the most difficult/taxing aspects of a Director of Football's role.
  13. I don't think I'm in any of those three groups. Never loved him and never will, he's a business person with an obscene amount of money acquired through nepotism. Director of Football is the role where we most need change, just changing owner isn't necessarily going to solve anything. Top has more incentive to look after the club (even if he's not very competent at it) and protect some of the fundamental traditions, than most potential buyers of the club would have because there will always be an emotional attachment to the club because he bought it with his dad. He's not going to go Vincent Tan on us. I'd like him to act on his failings, mainly by delegating to a better DOF, but I'll never love him, he just owns a football club that football fans should own.
  14. We may as well start skipping to the ‘if that plan goes tits up’ stage of our plans from the get go.
  15. I would assume (because to my shame I’ve still not actually been to one) that the women’s games at Filbert Way offer a lot of the same benefits for families and young fans. A more concerted effort to market those games would probably be better than diluting things further by bringing reserve/development games to the ground.
  16. Was my first experience of football as a kid, I think my first game was a 4-2 against West Ham reserves probably around 1999/2000, think we were losing at half-time but don't remember too much about it. Would be interesting to see what sort of team we were playing.

Does each post come with an accompanying blurb from Finnegan about why it's wrong? If not I'm not interested.

  21. Are you going to do this with every player we’re linked with? Everything I’ve just read from Oxford fans suggests he’s the kind of player we badly need, I think we should probably let the snobbery go. You only have to look at the signings of Wes Morgan or Danny Simpson to see that such reactions can end up looking pretty silly.
  22. Beautiful, not sure how that didn’t get bumped when we won it
