IMO we have a glaring creativity hole in the side and have done since Maddison left. So i've been doing some digging into stats and have found this lad. Ilan Kebbal of Paris FC. Would be very much a Mahrez-type signing in that he's not really ever done much but his last season for Paris FC was pretty incredible. 20 odd goal contributions and ranks in the 99th percentile of midfielders under 25 in progressive carries and key passes. Clearly a Maddison type player that likes to get on the ball and make things happen. The jump from Ligue 2 to Premier League might be a bit too big one one to watch. Can also play off the right.

All very nice things for them to say. However we would say the same things about Albrighton. Ayew is still going to be 33 years old in a few months time. We absolutely shouldn't be signing him. It's the sort of short-termism that's put us in the FFP shit.

Who branded it risky football? It was all about control of the ball to prevent risks. The inverted fullbacks give wingers more space because there's no room in the middle of the pitch. Teams have to overload the middle against a team playing the 3-2-4-1 that we played because we essentially had 4 centre midfielders. That's why Mavididi and Fatawu had such productive seasons.

Out of interest, do you have an example of a poor team achieving results? If you mean an unfancied team then Brighton. But the inverted fullbacks is a pretty new concept and maintaining posession is a facet of pretty much every successful team since the turn of the century. Our title win and Atletico Madrid's title win are pretty much the only teams that would happily give the ball away to other teams.

If it's a permanent then yes but otherwise i'm not interested. He's a great talent but we shouldn't be looking to develop other team's players. I think he's a Championship level player right now.

No chance are we paying money for Jordan Ayew. I would believe it if he were out of contract.
