  1. ** Unofficial Leicester City Press Release** Draft form - Pending approval John Rudkin Scheduled for release at 16:00 - 02/05/26 We can confirm that Leicester City Football Club will compete in League One next season. This outcome reflects a challenging campaign, one that will no doubt be analysed in great detail, particularly in the context of it arriving exactly 10 years to the day since we achieved the most extraordinary Premier League title in football history. From champions of England to participants in League One within a decade, a journey few could have predicted, and even fewer would have believed possible. We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to the vast majority of our supporters, whose commitment and loyalty have remained steadfast throughout. Your backing has not gone unnoticed. While we appreciate football is an emotional game, we would gently encourage those inclined to use expletives and inappropriate language during games, to instead channel that energy into continued support, as we move forward together. It is also important to acknowledge that there remain external factors which have contributed to this situation. Ongoing regulatory processes mean that further points deductions are still pending, and we trust that the handling of these matters by the FA will, in time, receive the scrutiny it deserves. The club has consistently acted in good faith, and it is only right that responsibility is shared appropriately. Looking ahead, preparations for next season are already well underway. Season tickets will shortly be available for renewal, with pricing maintained at Premier League levels. This reflects our commitment to operating at the highest standards, regardless of divisional status, and ensuring the club remains positioned for an immediate return. Commercially, we continue to make strong progress. A new principal partner will be announced in due course, further strengthening our revenue streams in an increasingly competitive landscape. Supporters can also look forward to the launch of our new home kit, available for £90, embodying both the heritage and ambition of Leicester City Football Club. We would also like to reassure supporters that the club remains financially stable. Reports to the contrary are unfounded. Our facilities continue to rank among the very best in world football, providing a foundation that underpins both present operations and future ambitions. The Chairman, Top, has made his position clear: “We promote next season.” This objective is shared across all levels of the club, and every effort will be made to ensure it is delivered. As part of our continued evolution, there will be a revised pricing structure for mobile ticket usage. This change reflects ongoing investment in digital infrastructure and the match day experience. This is, undeniably, a moment of reflection. But it is also an opportunity to reset, to rebuild, and to return stronger. The expectation remains unchanged. We thank you for your continued support. Foxes never quit.
  2. We are owned by King Power. King Power finances will be available on the Thailand version of companies house around the end of this month. So we’ll know what date they’re in.
  3. For anything in business to work, you do the basics really well. So many companies fail because they don’t do this. What Nigel did, in all honesty was come in, take a look around and sort the mess out on stuff that wasn’t working. Throwing money at stuff isn’t always the way forward. We saw that under the reign of Sven / King Power. The likes of Bournemouth, Brentford etc didn’t have the Cash or draw we had, however we will most likely find ourselves sitting 40 - 50 odd places lower than them in the footballing pyramid next season.
  4. This is a great point in reality. I’ve said fit before, however for all the hype our youth players get, they aren’t exactly pulling up trees in the division they’re in. They have also struggle in the cup games against League 1 and 2 team. Next season will be a grind.
  5. I don’t think he’s ever done himself any favours, with his off the field antics. However I will say I’ve met him twice and he came across as a nice person. He isn’t a fullback in fairness. He’s a midfield destroyer and we’ve never used him as that, as he’s had the likes of Kante, Ndidi, Mendy etc in front of him. I could see him playing in midfield next season.
  6. Few localist games depending on where you are in the county next season, once relegation is confirmed. Peterborough, Burton, Mansfield, the. The potential of MK Dons, Notts County etc, depending on who comes up from League 2. Then the first ever meeting between us and Bromley.
  7. To be honest, for all we know he could have recommended the 2nd comings of Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar but the club has declined them. We always hear stories about how clubs looked at players but didn’t take the chance etc. If the club say no and we “need proven premier league experience and this is your budget”, he’s peeing into the wind really. Not a lot of point in him being here.
  8. It’s also worth mention that the stadium isn’t owned by Leicester City Football Club. It’s owned by a King Power holding company, with it being on hire purchase. The balance of that is due to be paid in June / July from memory. I can see that being kicked down the road again. That stadium is not an asset if we go under at the end of the season.
  9. I think he’d stay at Tottenham. They’ll be straight back up. No way they stay down.
  10. Vestergaard, Nelson, Stolarkzyk, Choudhury, Reid and Vietes will all only have 12 months left at the start of next season. I doubt we’ll get much for any of them.
  11. Yes, you’re right actually, €18m isn’t it. So by the time we get another £15m for Fatawu, we’ll cover the cost of running Seagrave for next season.
  12. People need to realise King Power didn’t give the club its success. Vichai for all the love he receives, also made some very poor decisions at times. Albeit he did re-recruit Pearson so saw some sense after the failures of chucking money at stuff didn’t work. Pearson built the foundations that the success of this club sat on for 5 - 7 years. That network of scouting built by Walsh, to find the gems like Vardy, Knockaert, Mahrez, Kante, James, Drinkwater, Kramaric etc wasn’t a mere coincidence. We had a forward thinking science and rehabilitation team. We had a togetherness and spirit that most clubs envied. We won the Premier League because we captured lighting in a bottle and for 12 months we were the best club in the country. King Power didn’t do that. A group of amazing, talented, determined and downplayed professionals like Morgan, Albrighton, Huth, Fuchs, Ulloa etc secured that. Truth is those foundations were weakened by the time Ranieri was into his 2nd season. Walsh and Pearson long gone. Changes being made to the back room setup. Puel rebuilt a lot of it and would make an excellent Director of Football. Amongst the snoring and dulcet football, he did a lot right in fairness. I’ll spare him trying to marginalise Vardy. Brendan had too much power but we still played some of the best football I’ve ever seen under him. He’s so divisive but should have gone 12 - 18 months sooner than he did. He’d be viewed far better by the fan base. He was calling for a refresh, although I don’t think he should have been allowed to do it. Nepo baby paraded the Championship trophy around on a bus parade with his influencers hanger ons, like he’d secured it himself. That still irritates me now. We should celebrate failure. Maybe I’m old school. You only need to look at Liverpool now though. The wheels have come off quickly, after all the work Klopp did. Manchester United have never been the same since Ferguson retired. Manchester City will be the same post Guardiola.
  13. I wondered if someone would actually sign him up. Could see him going to Liverpool etc
  14. Ha Ha! Rugby isn’t a bad game, albeit the Tigers aren’t the team they once were either. Professional football has a massive disconnect with fan now.
  15. I know around 10 season ticket holders. Only 2 are renewing for next season. I’m guessing they’ll have some form of offer on, however I’m going to guess the attendances next season will be 18,000ish. Chances are you are getting a match day ticket if you really want one. I’m not sure it’s worth having a season ticket.
  16. He’ll be the highest paid player in League 1! In fact, we could get relegated again woth the highest wage bill ever in league 1!
  17. You’re hitting the casual football fan stage! This is what King Power has done to me.
  18. As we face down the barrel of the gun, looking at entering League 1, I think we need to consider what happens with the club. The last time we were relegated, we when down with the 2nd best defence in the league. We just couldn’t score! We had a squad filled with players that shouldn’t have been in league 1. Dyer, Tunchev, Oakley, King, Hobbs, Berner, Gradel, Howard and Fryatt. I don’t think we will have that this time. I’m going to suggest at this point, we don’t enter administration (that’s a hope rather than inside knowledge). Fatawu and El Khannous get sold. They keep the club afloat would be my guess. We’ll be losing Ricardo, Daka, Ayew, Lascelles, Marçal, Faes and Begovic as contracts expire on the 30th June. Question marks on Winks contracts. Some suggest it expires, others don’t. He won’t be here either way. James, Ramsey, Mukasa, Aribo and Richards will also return to parent clubs. This leaves us with (before the vultures set about the rest of the squad). GK : Stolarkzyk, Vietes, Bausor DEF : Vestergaard, Nelson, Kristiansen, Souttar, Okoli, Thomas, Alonko, S Thomas, Coulibally, Joseph, Wilson-Brown MID : Choudhury, Mavididi, Golding, Skipp, Page, Monga, Braybrooke, Alves, Cartwright ATT : Reid, Evans, Popov, Opuku, Richards I look at that said and I think without serious, serious rebuilding work, we don’t have the quality we had last time. I also don’t think we’ll be that active in the transfer market.
  19. Exactly. They need the WWE style build up to hype it up now to the casual fan. Both of them are past their prime and other than a pay packet I’d suggest more to lose in terms of reputation. At onetime, I thought AJ stood s decent chance of beating Fury. Now, they’re different people and Fury is the better boxer.
  20. They’ve circled each other for years. Both are past their best. You can’t judge Fury in that fight. AJ wasn’t the same post Ruiz really. How will he be after the accident.
  21. I think AJ basically thinks why commit. I’m still not sure he’s really in the headspace to get into the ring again. He talks it, however does he want it. This is like Mayeeather / Paquaio again. The fight is 5 - 7 years after it should have happened.
  22. All a bit WWE this
  23. King Power FC isn’t it?
  24. He’s making Wilder look like a world class, skilled boxer.
  25. Man City hopefully.
