Reading between the lines, we won’t pay what Watford want. Girona have potentially got to a point where they’ve agreed wages. Is he sold of the project? Who knows! With the La Liga FFP laws, I’m not sure how Girona afford him to be honest.

https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/girona-fc/20240821/1002301918/yaser-asprilla-gran-apuesta-girona.html Yaser Asprilla seems to be Girona's chosen one to make the big investment in the extreme before the closing of the transfer market. The Colombian talent that provides its services to Watford of the Championship, of the second English division, was immersed among several suitors to get the 20-year-old and Rennes, who already started talks with the raries, ended up breaking the negotiations for a matter of commissions between representatives. Leicester and Porto, were the other strong ones next to Girona, which urgently needs a winger for the Champions League. Both have already withdrawn from the bid, even with Porto making public its impossibility to invest the minimum of 20 million pounds they ask for from British lands. The English team will not make it easy to sell and Girona is not the favorite in terms of budget, but it will also depend on the player and the project that is put in front. The club is clear that it will make two strong investments to finish reinforcing the sensitive casualties of the summer and Yaser Asprilla becomes the priority for the Catalans, although it remains to be seen if the agreement, not easy, comes to fruition.

It’s crazy how many players they have. They could register two entire squads. Truly bonkers.
-
So we’ve looked at Ikone apparently.
-
Weird how they’ve taken it down off the site as well.
-
He’s a strange one, as you watch him and he doesn’t do anything particularly well. However he scores goals. Frank Lampard was the same.
-
Yes, how weird’! It was definitely on the site as I read and copied it.

https://www.lcfc.com/news/4089561/new-leicester-city-deal-for-kasey-mcateer?lang=en New Leicester City Deal For Kasey McAteer Leicester City is pleased to confirm talented Academy graduate Kasey McAteer has signed a new long-term contract with the Club, extending his stay until at least 2028. - Kasey McAteer commits future to Leicester City - The 22-year-old has agreed a new contract to 2028 - He made 26 appearances in all competitions last season The 22-year-old – who joined City at the age of eight – made his First Team debut against Newcastle United in December 2021. After establishing himself as a key player for the Club’s Development Squad, the winger enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last term and helped the Foxes to an immediate return to the Premier League as Sky Bet Championship winners. Speaking to LCFC.com, McAteer said:“Everyone knows what playing for Leicester City means to me having been here at the Football Club for most of my life, so to sign a new contract after such an incredible 12 months is a dream come true. “It’s such a special club and there’s so much excitement around the place going into the new Premier League season. I’m so happy to be part of it and I’ll be giving everything to play my part in helping the team achieve all we can on the pitch.” He netted his first senior goal at Rotherham United in August 2023 and went on to score a further six times in all competitions last season. McAteer’s strike against the Millers was followed up by goals in important league victories over Southampton, Norwich City, Stoke City and Preston North End, while the winger was also on target in the Carabao Cup at Liverpool.

I’ve no idea where Soumare was playing when he came on.
-
Yes, I was impressed with the honesty in that interview to be honest. If we have more 2nd half’s than 1st half’s he’ll win me over. The jury is still out though.
-
Lovely clearance by the annoying Brazilian!
-
They’ve not been the same since we started to get into Maddison. We let him play and he hurt us.
-
Vesty not playing in that season we got relegated is criminal. We watched bloody Amartey play ……..
-
I have to say; the first 45 minutes were as bad as I’ve seen us play for some time. This 2nd half has been so much better.
-
That passage of play from Soumare was unique. He mid controlled the ball. Looked lost and didn't really move. The ball came back toward him, so his 2nd touch was a challenge (which he won).
-
What is Soumare doing ?
-
He must be awful in training.
-
It’s hardy to get going once the adrenaline drops again.
-
I’ve no idea what this shape or team selection is.
-
It would appear so
-
Let’s hope Soumare has turned into prime Seedorf in the past week.
-
Serious question, why hasn’t he been popped on the stretcher and sorted off the pitch sooner?
-
He went too wide and narrowed his angle.
