  1. That’s praise from I’ve witnessed!
  2. He needs sacking off and quickly.
  3. I’m assuming at this point, Ricardo has upset Cooper.
  4. I said it in pre season and I’ll say it again. This is horse ****, Cooper out.
  5. I’ve not been this excited for a transfer since we signed Reid.
  6. If no one buys their players that they’ve paid stupid over inflated amounts for, PSR will sink them.
  7. Paying £250,000 for this bloke is a bad deal. Paying £5,000,0000 + £3,000,000 is a sackable offence when we get relegated. I’d rather have kept Mark Albrighton if I’m honest!
  8. Also…. https://insidefutbol.com/2024/08/22/club-face-issues-with-leicester-city-stars-agent-in-possible-swoop/657895/ Club Face Issues With Leicester City Star’s Agent In Possible Swoop Italian giants Napoli have encountered issues with Leicester City star Boubakary Soumare’s agent in their chase for the midfielder. Antonio Conte has been looking for a midfielder this summer and his side have been strongly linked with Manchester United’s Scott McTominay. They are yet to reach an agreement with the Red Devils for the Scot and have set their eyes on another Premier League midfielder. Newly promoted Leicester City’s Soumare is a player Conte likes and the club are considering the Foxes man as a possible option. However, according to Italian outlet Arena Napoli, the Serie A giants have faced problems with Soumare’s agent. The Foxes are open to letting the midfielder go and they want to loan Soumare out with an obligation to buy for €14m at the end of the loan. There appear to be some complications with the player’s agent though. Napoli and the player’s agent and entourage have complicated relations. The Leicester midfielder had been strongly linked with Roma earlier this summer and it remains to be seen if Soumare’s camp and Napoli will be able to reach an agreement late in the transfer window.
  9. https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2024/as-monaco-view-leicesters-boubakary-soumare-as-potential-youssouf-fofana-replacement/ AS Monaco view Leicester's Boubakary Soumaré as potential Youssouf Fofana replacement - Get French Football News AS Monaco have seen their midfield options dwindle this summer. Youssouf Fofana was always expected to depart, especially given that he had just one year remaining on his deal with Les Monégasques. However, they have lost other players too. Mohamed Camara has moved to Qatar, whilst academy product Félix Lemarechal has joined Ligue 1 rivals RC Strasbourg Alsace. The Principality club have even had to contend with interest from Premier League clubs in their new captain Denis Zakaria. Even despite the arrival of Lamine Camara for FC Metz, there is still a need to strengthen the midfield. Monaco have a long-standing interest in Leciester City’s Boubakary Soumaré (25) and it could now be reignited, according to a report from L’Équipe. Adi Hütter wants a midfielder that has already established himself, and Soumaré, who has experience both in Ligue 1 and in the Premier League falls into that category. He is therefore an option being considered with just over one week remaining in the transfer window.
  10. Sorry, yes, I was more on about if we sold him as per your last point. By the looks of it, Monaco are back in for him.
  11. The other thing to note with all transfers, is that they’re often structured with trigger points. So we might have paid £20m for Soumare upfront. If we did that, we’d still have him on the books at £15m. Monaco might have offered £5m up front, with £12m in trigger points add ons for all we know. Selling him would have had a massive impact on PSR in that instance. All Premier League clubs will struggle to sell players if transfer fees and wages don’t come in line with other leagues under these financial doping rules, as the league is crippling itself.
  12. Now I’m intrigued on who that is! I’m guessing Southampton!
  13. Here’s a more serious one though that will upset most of the forum I’d imagine. My football / life balance has been better since our daughter was born 9 seasons ago. (She’s nearly 10 seasons old now). I’m getting older and everything aches a little bit more in the cold, and my eye sight isn’t what it was. With all of that in mind and tve movement of games throughout the season for TV, I now much prefer watching our games in the comfort of my own home on my own or with friends / family. Despite this, I still try and attend 5 - 10 games a season but I don’t enjoy them as much at the ground ……. ps, I never leave early and always wait untill half time If I need the toilet or want an massively overpriced hot dog or coffee.
  14. I thought Reid struggled to look like a winger at times. In that first half, he looked like a player that had one the raffle to play with the first team!
  15. Yes, these definitely do not help. I still think it’s easier if it’s 09:00 in London, then it’s also 09:00 in Rome, Madrid, Sydney, Florida and Cape Town. My day might start at 06:00 as I live in London. Franks might start at 15:00 as that’s when the sun rises in Florida. @ozleicester starts his day at 01:00, as that’s when the sun rises in Sydney. Everyone’s a winner and we all get to avoid the awkward conversation about what are you doing tomorrow, for your weekend etc, as no one has any idea when each day starts.
  16. I can’t believe for one minute that Mourinho has looked at Soumare and wants to make him one of the most expensive additions and highest paid players in the Turkish league. No one else is paying this bloke £80k per week like we are. That passage of play on Monday night, where he was seemingly the centre forward, mis controlling the ball, watching himself lose it and not track, then basically still being in the same place to retrieve it when the ball came back was as every bit as bad as a Sunday League game when everyone is knackered in the 93rd minute.
  17. Nelson and Nketiah both improve us, however I’m not sure we have the financial movement to get it done. From an FFP point of view, it makes sense if Arsenal sell them, albeit on the cheaper side, as they’re academy products so pure profit. No point loaning them out and still covering wages if that’s the goal.
  18. We can scrap seasons whilst we’re at it as well!
  19. Can we discuss time zones? As someone who has hopped from one country to the next for flights etc, time zones are a pain in *** when booking stuff. Can’t we just have a universal time. Yes it means if you live in Chicago, you’ll no longer do a 09:00 - 17:00 to make a living, however at least I’ll be able to co-ordinate my travelling better.
  20. I’ve had a few now and they’ve all been good. In fact, my new Leicester one I compared with an authentic one last week and you can’t tell the difference.
  21. I’m not convinced that the next leader of the Conservative Party, will be the person that leads them into the next election. Like a football team that has lost its way, they needs some stability and a safe pair of hands to reshape them and give them an identity that people can connect with again.
  22. Reading between the lines, we won’t pay what Watford want. Girona have potentially got to a point where they’ve agreed wages. Is he sold of the project? Who knows! With the La Liga FFP laws, I’m not sure how Girona afford him to be honest.
  23. https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/girona-fc/20240821/1002301918/yaser-asprilla-gran-apuesta-girona.html Yaser Asprilla seems to be Girona's chosen one to make the big investment in the extreme before the closing of the transfer market. The Colombian talent that provides its services to Watford of the Championship, of the second English division, was immersed among several suitors to get the 20-year-old and Rennes, who already started talks with the raries, ended up breaking the negotiations for a matter of commissions between representatives. Leicester and Porto, were the other strong ones next to Girona, which urgently needs a winger for the Champions League. Both have already withdrawn from the bid, even with Porto making public its impossibility to invest the minimum of 20 million pounds they ask for from British lands. The English team will not make it easy to sell and Girona is not the favorite in terms of budget, but it will also depend on the player and the project that is put in front. The club is clear that it will make two strong investments to finish reinforcing the sensitive casualties of the summer and Yaser Asprilla becomes the priority for the Catalans, although it remains to be seen if the agreement, not easy, comes to fruition.
