  1. It's pretty tight without going down the personal insults route; in my opinion, it could go either way. Using The Swiss Ramble data, as he is far better than me, as a starting point for the previous report period ending in 21/22, we were around 1m under FFP limits (See Table 1) * (19/20 and 20/21 are combined and taken as an average due to COVID so its actual a 4 year period rather than 3) For the 22/23, the 19/20 accounts drop out, and then I've made some assumptions/guesses about our income and expenditure for 22/23 and I have us going over by 8m (See Table 2) There are many variables that could nudge us 10m either way, largely down to what we can convince the PL are allowable deductibles. All PL clubs must submit their accounts for the 22/23 season by December 31, 2023. The Premier League has charged Everton and Nottingham Forest with breaching its financial rules based on that submission before they have published their official accounts. So my question is, why haven't we been charged? Is it because we didn't have to do the December 31, 2023 submission because we are no longer a PL club, or are we ok? The short answer is nobody knows other than the club and the PL.
  2. Our maybe just wait until we have broken the rules and be charged. At the moment all you have is speculation. Forest have been charged, at this moment in time we have not.
  3. Rob Dorsett talking total bollocks. You can't make rules up on the fly. It's would have to be documented in the PL and EFL rules.
  4. That's the issue players and agent sucking the game dry.
  5. If Ipswich are dropping points it going to be away form home, they put a lot of effort into the Bristol game.
  6. It's a high end product which is going to be devalued by half the clubs failing FFP. You can't call it the best league in the world if half the clubs can't sign players.
  7. You joke but I can see us signing a new shirt deal once we are promoted with another Asian company. Being a PL club allows us to broker a better deal.
  8. It's a projection, in other words an estimate, so you can easily change and flex it. From the EFL website: Financial Records EFL Clubs are also required to submit certain financial records to the CFRU at certain points of the year. These submissions include annual accounts (and in the case of the Championship, interim accounts) and future financial information forecasts (or “FFI”). FFI information helps the CFRU understand a Club’s spending plans and how it plans to fund its activity. I would suggested we have refused to do that bit in bold.
  9. If you have something to hide as you say why would you submit projection that see you fail?
  10. Not important for accounts, that's more about cash flow.
  11. This was a submission for early season, you don't submit you current season accounts that early as it makes no sense. They would have looked at our 22/23 accounts and gone that wiffs what are you going to do about it.
  12. John P tweet is a bit silly. Club needs to sale blah blah. Followed by key point is what the 22/23 accounts look like. So basically he's doesn't have that facts about our finances for 22/23.
  13. Financial data is pretty sensitive, easy for people to take advantage off. If you don't have to give it, why would you.
  14. EFL would have base the assessment on our 22/23 account which are bound to fail championship P & S. They would have then asked for a action plan on how we are going to move from our 22/23 position go meet 23/24 obligations. We have told them they are abusing their own rules and we don't need to give them a plan.
  15. If someone ask you for your ID and they don't have a right to do so, do you show them your ID? It could be we have something to hide or we are being bloody minded.
  16. This dates back to earlier in the season The EFL would have looked at the clubs 22/23 accounts like all clubs in the league and has asked for a business plan on how the club is going to meet It's P & S obligation for 23/24. Club has basically said you can't ask for that as 22/23 accounts occurred outside of your league.
  17. I'd wager FFP is restructured in PL this summer, to give more wiggle room. As a product the PL can't have 6 or 7 teams unable to spend due to FFP or deducted points.
