Yeah, that could be so. Still, there's plenty of damage already been done, particularly in terms of the Supreme Court judiciary and societally in terms of just how massive a cult of personality has been built. Those will both have long lasting legacies already, goodness knows what another four years would be like.

I honestly thought that the events of January 6th would be the end of pretty much any political candidate that even came close to being involved in it or endorsing it. Sadly, the times we live in appear to have changed. I just hope that in the future, those who look back at these times don't loathe us for what we as a species led them into.
