The writing is on the wall. We'll either be 18th or 19th, which is relegation either way.

I'd like to see him given an opportunity in the Prem
-
Didn't have him down as a bottler, but the second Man City goal yesterday was unforgivable. Just watched it again on MotD. He looks behind, sees Haaland, and actively runs away from him, towards.....absolutely no one. From the look behind him, he can see that VK is never going to get there. There is no other Man City player in the box, Haaland is his problem....and he chooses to run away from him when there's absolutely no justification for doing that. That is not something a captain should ever do.

Some good signs with RVN. I would say that his substitutions are err...interesting, though -
He's winning me over, the absolute bastard

I'm not sure what I think of him yet. We've played some nice stuff, but ultimately we concede so many goals, don't score many and the results are poor. That said, the squad is clearly very weak. His style would probably work really well in the Championship, with the right players. Ultimately, that's what I think we have to start thinking about. -
Man City post match thread - 0-2 loss

Painful to say it, but we were the absolute perfect opposition for Man City today. All they had to do was to keep their mistakes to a minimum, be patient, and wait for the inevitable errors from us. Pretty easy win for them, when all is said and done. -

At the end of the day, heroic failure is still failure. I don't question the players attitude or commitment. It was there in spades today. We just don't have the quality. We're some way short of Premier League standard. Hard to see how we've got enough to stay up. Even at our best, against a frankly shite Man City team, we still didn't have enough. -
Shame VK made that error, I actually thought he'd put in a really good performance until that mistake.
-
I'm absolutely gutted. We've played so well, but there was such a depressing inevitability about them getting the next goal. They have been absolutely shit, but haven't needed to be good.
-
Get Patson and Will Alves on, go for it
-
We deserve a bit of luck here, we've played really well
-
Bloody shoot, Facu!
-
I've been heavily critical of Soumare in the past, but he's been terrific today and has been pretty decent in general recently.
-
Wish Mav would shoot more often when he cuts back inside. His goalscoring record isn't great, but firing it at goal might at least result in something. His tendency to lay it back stifles so many promising moves. It's exactly what the covering defender is hoping for. Edit: didn't see the same posts making exactly the same point

I think there's some positives here. Midfield has been good. Defence hasn't been too bad. I think the team that scores next wins the game
-
Played okay since going behind
-
Was that a goal from the their left side....no way.

-
RvN isn't holding back with that line up. Crikey
-
I'm going to go wild and predict that Man City get some joy down their left hand side....
-
Ayew is suspended
-
...or maybe more painful, depending on how you choose to proceed from that point
-
I genuinely think we're going to get hammered. 0-4 is my prediction. Haaland with a couple, at least
