If that is the case, I'd be happy with this. It would see us go back to the model of signing young players who have loads of potential but who have lost their way a bit.

30 years old? Big wages? Selling club keen to get rid? Stats suggesting he can't pass or tackle? That's all the Rudkin criteria met right there, I believe.

In other news. Really enjoyed the Amazon coverage yesterday

I'd argue Iversen was more worthy of an opportunity than Ward. Just my opinion, of course
-
Had a look to see if I've been harsh on him. Don't think I have, to be honest. His defensive output is actually better than I thought, but like @Kierzzsays, those stats hide those critical errors he seems to make quite literally every single week. If there was an 'errors leading to goals' metric, JJ's defensive stats would have some pretty essential context. That middle third, essentially his passing and attacking stats.....those stats are absolutely damning. That's the area he's supposed to be decent at. Obviously the lack of quality in the team means he's often penned in and pushed back, but look at those passing percentages. Honking

Going to have to strongly disagree with this, mate. Ward should never have been given another chance. Minimal research from Ruud would have shown how costly his performances have been for the club and how reviled he is by lcfc fans. Agree with the rest of your post re Jakub though
-
The back 4 seemed much more settled with Jakub in goal today. I've said it several times on here (sorry), but it's clear to me that the team have absolutely no confidence in Danny Ward. They looked like they believe in Stolarczyk.

Now Wolves have picked up, it's hard to see anyone other than the promoted 3 going down, sadly.

Realistic right backs we could sign in January

Trai Hume at Sunderland who we've been linked with before. Milan Van Ewijk at Cov is a good player, too -
Replacing JJ should be job number 1 in January
-
Thought he was okay today, if I'm honest. Decent outlet at times.

Absolute nothing player

Liverpool 3-1 LCFC, post match thread
Tielemans63 replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Now I've thought about, Jakub and the two centre halves played well. Bouba and Winks also played well and worked their knackers off. Bilal was very good, and against popular opinion. I thought Mav and Patson worked hard even though they're technically so limited. My main frustration is that with 20 minutes left, we were somehow still in it and yet we took absolutely no risks. Seemed happy with a narrow loss, which is really disappointing. -

Positives: Jakub and Bilal That's about it -
Best two players subbed. Super

Feel like we're better in the heavy fog
-
Held out for almost 5 second half minutes there!
-
I'm watching with 4 Liverpool fans, mate. Agony.
-
On the bright side, Bilal will absolutely tear up the Championship next season
-
JJ not even smart enough to give away a free kick rather than letting him shoot
-
Might have been an idea for James Justin to attempt a tackle there
-
Won the toss. Get in
-
Just watching it on Amazon Prime. Who are Liverpool playing again?
-
Joe Gomez to score his first ever goal for Liverpool tonight? I'm not a gambler, but I'm seriously tempted...

Danny Ward + fog = hilarity
