What was there to support? Seeing game after game of mistakes, players not caring, pulling out of challenges, running down their contracts, massively underperforming, not attacking, passing sideways when we're losing, players at home rubbing it in on socials that they miss a former manager or they are enjoying a day out and not doing a job that they get paid more a week than we get paid a year, even double!...I can go on. (That is a long sentence, apologies) This isn't something that's happening just this season or overnight. This is years of the same thing and that tis the reason for the atmosphere. I have now reached the point of not celebrating goals. We've scored 4 and I've not felt the passion to celebrate. I'm not alone. The fan base is drained of seeing the same old turd week in, week out and now we're all numb. Yes we're zombies but that is what the club has done to us. I do get your point with the youngsters who do actually try, but the damage was done long before they started to play. They are just been thrusted into this position by no fault of their own.
