  1. Crazy Stat: Leicester have just won the Premier League. CAMPEONES! CAMPEONES!
  2. Fair few things got banned at my primary school (whilst I was there and when my brothers went, after), because of gambling. Crazy bones, pokemon/football cards (playing 'flicksys' or whatever the hell it was called) etc. Although, they never did clock on to the blackjack-style dice gambling ring I set up, hustling people out of 'smellies' (gel pens) or whatever the craze was back in year 5... .
  3. £51.3m in total, although why he included James, Kramaric, De Laet is beyond me. Inler and Amartey have barely played, either. Conveniently omitted the two youth players who ARE in the squad, too. They spent £45m on Son and Lamela alone, ffs.
  4. "Albrighton is the worst of their midfielders" Well, yeah. But only because he's behind Drinkwater who's been sensational, PFA Player of the year Mahrez, and Kante who is possibly the best midfielder on the planet this season.
  5. Wasilewski, Fuchs, Schlupp/Amartey and Shinji are all from nations with just a single premier league winner so far. (Kuszczzak, Manninger, Essien and Kagawa were the first, respectively)Kasper would be the third Dane, after his dad and Lindegaard.
  6. If (when) we win the league, Morgan (Jamaica), Mahrez (Algeria), Inler (Switzerland), Kramaric (Croatia) and Benalouane (Tunisia) will be the first player of their respective nationalities to do so.
  7. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/7101721/Leicester-send-Twitter-into-meltdown-with-bizarre-design-on-King-Power-pitch-ahead-of-Premier-League-clash-with-Swansea.html Even our groundsmen are getting recognised now Strange it's only just getting mentioned now - we've had these overly intricate patterns on the pitch since QPR last season, haven't we?
  8. It's rare that I enjoy a post so much that I can be bothered to switch to the full version on my mobile to rep it, but that article is fantastic. And from the FT too - who'd'a thought.
  9. Close, but alas no. It was an Andy who interviewed me.
  10. You forgot Drinky! Huth's a former international, too. So RB and 1 winger are the only positions in the XI where we don't have recognized international quality players. Wow.
  11. Not an actual cock either, hopefully... edit: Cockerel, that is...
  12. Not sure if it'll be the same for your subject (mine is maths and stats so this sort of thing is normally simplified for us), but for my case it just involves going through previous studies / articles etc. and briefly describing them and their results, and how they relate to my topic. So in mine, my study is investigating the link between socioeconomic status and children's physical activity levels, so I'm summarising papers which have already found links between specific factors so I can justify including them in any model I produce.
  13. Passed my interview!!! It's a little bit strange though. They haven't made me an offer yet as they're evaluating their upcoming project demand and the roles that they need against my skill set, so I won't find out for definite until some as-yet-unspecified date what my actual job role will be. Bit odd as I applied for a specific role, but hey-ho, I'll take what I can get. Nice to have something sorted before I graduate, now just to finish (/start) this dissertation, do a couple other assignments, and pass my hardest exams to-date. No biggie.
  14. Was told id hear back from my interview within two weeks at most, and it's almost 3 now. Sent an email this morning just confirming when I can expect a response (as diplomatically as I could) and haven't had a reply yet. Frustrating as it's my only active application, and there are a few purchases I could do with making but holding off until I know I'll have a job when I graduate. Other than that, basically got 4 weeks off at easter, which I should be spending pretty much exclusively on my dissertation. Day1 on the schedule, and really struggled to motivate myself at all. Half a page of a lit review and I gave up. Easter is not going to be fun...
  15. Phoenix stream not working for me, and Robocop wont even open
  16. I'm aware, which probably highlights my need to get outside even more so...
  17. I was tempted to go back through every team's results and code up a dynamically-changing table so you could pick out any moment in any match and see the table at the time (and exactly how many minutes were spent in which position), but then I realised I'm miles behind on my dissertation work and should probably give that a little bit of thought instead . Might do it after the season ends if I can find the time. Would be a nice little challenge.. (To save anyone the trouble, the answer is yes, I am indeed aware that I need to get a life )
  18. IF we win tonight, we'll finish the season having been top of the league for 103 days AT LEAST. The only team capable of beating that are Man City, who currently have 100. If we do win tonight, and then EVERY result goes in Man City's favour (i.e. we lose every match, Tottenham win a couple to overtake us and then lose every match, and Man City win EVERY match) then (not accounting for rearranged fixtures from now until the end of the season) the 'days leading the table' table looks like this: Manchester City: 122 days Leicester City: 103 days Arsenal: 27 days Spurs: 22 days Manchester Utd: 8 days
  19. "by Harry Redknapp Ranieri written one of the stories of the decade..." D'oh. Surely whoever edited that piece should have paid extra close attention given it was Mr Redknapp penning it... Haha
  20. Nah, that's the loan fee for a 1 month loan
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35739925?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_match_of_the_day&ns_source=facebook&ns_linkname=sport "Riyad Mahrez has got to be worth £20m of anyone's money." Fvck off, Garth
  22. I stopped reading after 'undeserved draw against West Brom'. Undeserved point for West Brom maybe, but we were well on top for the vast majority of the game.
  23. Shockingly, no. £1.50, the robbing b*stards.
  24. My Chinese takeaway is 15 minutes late and im starving. Unacceptable. Edit: AND they forgot the prawn crackers. Unbelievable.
