  1. This has been an excellent performance from us in front of a really decent sized crowd. Good start.
  2. Budinger as a likeable Davy Warner
  3. I think i feel much the same. The powers that be seem to have little regard for those of us who support our teams. It’s becoming vile.
  4. And so the Premier League participants in August 2024 are the same as in August 2022, bar Ipswich for Leeds. Aside from laughing at Leeds, this is not altogether healthy for the game in my opinion.
  5. I think he was CEO there. The Leicestershire job is almost impossible. The interest simply isn’t there it would seem. The sadness for me is for reasons I don’t understand it’s been almost impossible to tempt the often cricket loving second and third generation Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis to the ground. Jarvis is great at talking things up with very little substance, but I guess that’s the job. We’ve been so poor for so long it’s hard for even diehard fans to retain interest
  6. It’s a shameful two day performance. We might be on target for our heaviest effort defeat. Show some backbone lads for goodness sake
  7. Last season’s one day cup triumph was a lovely interlude. Really hoped we might kick on a bit. But this season has been pathetic thus far. Sure the weather hasn’t helped, but we look so bland frankly. And I don’t know why but Jarvis appointing someone he used to work with as commercial director smells like jobs for the boys. Hope I’m wrong.
  8. Nothing quite like opening up at 1pm and being back in the shed at 1.05pm
  9. Here’s a PR idea the club could have gone with. They randomly pick 4 season ticket holders of different ages and ask them to be part of the celebrations Saturday and Sunday. One of them to be a Union FS member given their huge efforts. So on the pitch, trophy lift, on one of the buses. Ask them to take some video clips. Edit them, distribute them on socials. Costs next to nothing. An experience of a lifetime for four loyal fans, and authentic content you suspect most of us would like
  10. There was no Bachmann Turner Overdrive!!
  11. It’s just a hunch I have 😂
  12. I’m starting to feel our Foxestalk forum is woefully misrepresentative of people at the ground. There was no edge today as there was nothing in it. But there was noise pretty much the whole way through, and everyone seemed happy from my viewpoint.
  13. Really? I thought it was relaxed and joyful.
  14. @weller54 will be along when he is good and ready.
  15. No VAR. Feel so strongly about this. Even when it has gone against us, like Leeds away. I loathe it.
  16. I was worried our promotion might have made you a bit more cheerful. Glad to see its service as normal
  17. I agree! And all our games have been severely truncated thus far. But it’s the modern ethos of ‘workload management’. Fred Trueman would be muttering incessantly about such a concept!
  18. I think they would say this is rotation rather than dropping.
  19. Walkers gave us peanuts? What were they thinking?
  20. Sheffield Wednesday? On a Saturday?
  21. Except when there’s a pandemic, when it could have happily started in late March. Apart from the whole not being allowed out thing.
  22. This doesn’t bother me on the slightest. I simply support my club. Feel United don’t have real supporters, and that Chelsea are vile. Apart from them, really not bothered by what our so called rivals achieve
  23. Because United are one of the odious big six. Much rather they were knocked out. We’ve had sufficient success that we can afford to enjoy a local rival enjoying some success.
  24. 3 down. 45 overs to go today
