Sorry but that passing it around the back when losing is unacceptable. Love his personality and the atmosphere he's cultivating but he needs to learn fast about having a proper plan B
-
Absolutely dire. That last attempted cross was pathetic. Like watching a 5 year old
-
Really poor. 3 players occupying the same space in Winks, Hamza and Ricardo so that desperately needs tweaking so we can create more space to get the wingers in behind.
-
This is why if his contract is renewed, it's purely as backup. Dreadful at one on one defending.

Such a weird description is that phrase. Kind of means nothing but makes perfect sense so wonder where it came from. Exactly how I'd describe him too!

Kasey is pretty quick and Ricardo certainly quicker than concrete Casadei

Couldn't even bring myself to do that in a video game. Absolute c*** (not you to be clear )

If it worked perfectly then that's a fair point. I suppose the current situation is: Keep VAR even though it is very broken, fundamentally unfair because there is no consistency and accept it totally kills the joy of a goal, with the positive being it can correct some mistakes. Bin off VAR even though that means obvious mistakes won't be corrected but at least it's 'fair' in that every decision remains as is. I also think it's contributed to even worse officiating as the on field officials have fewer decisions to make but they're also being second guessed every time. I think Jill Scott put it best when she said that it was meant to reduce the amount of controversy and time we spent debating decisions yet it's made that side of the game even worse. If the governance around it was excellent then keeping VAR is a no brainer but in it's current state it's utterly broken.

I admire the conservatism/realism! I tried to be disciplined but most of my starting XI has changed and moved to wingbacks away from the inverted roles

Anyone who thinks he's been great this season is living in cuckoo land but so is anyone who thinks he's not good enough for this level (that's a really embarrassing take). Started the season well below par but has shown signs that he's getting better. Same goals and assists as Vardy but in 200 mins less. Think Enzo had been fair to rotate the 2 of them because of form but Iheanacho is now a lot better than Vardy so it should be Kel starting, Vardy off the bench for a good run of games until form is bad or fixtures pile up. Interestingly, we down in 8th or something in terms of shots taken so it's not like either striker has been missing tonnes of chances but Iheanacho is so much better at linking the play (even if that's been sloppy at times). 7/10 is probably about right although I'd say Vs his ability it's been more like a 5.5/10

Gnonto is a whiny little b****. Board gave me loads of money in Jan so thought I'd get him as he was cheap and he's delivered to be fair. But in the space of 2 days he's complained he was subbed and then told me he can't settle in the area. Looks like he'll be off when we get to the Prem which is annoying. Was chopping and changing the wingers a lot but Yunus has been an absolute monster now he's settled so got him coming in permanently for £4 mil. Should be good first year and then reasonable backup second year of PL before selling for a good profit.

Struggled a lot this season this but it's started to pick up a bit for him. Sad to say but he's just so far ahead of Vardy now in terms of what he offers to the team and whilst the rotation has been fair enough because of said form, Iheanacho should be the clear first choice.

Are you playing the full version? How did you get rid of Ward?! I've made a few signings for the potential. On something like 56 points at the halfway stage so not bad but finding it very frustrating. I know the high scoring has been raised on their forum but wondering if anyone is having issues with creating chances? Still scoring a decent amount (KDH has 11) but the shots per game is really low considering we're doing well. Normally only about 11/12 a game if I'm lucky and playing a reasonably attacking formation/setup. Probs sack off the inverted full back and wing back and just go for normal wingbacks I think.

Where's the spoiler warning?! I don't actually care as I've already looked them up. My one bit of 'cheating' will be this Leicester save and starting with Braybrooke as close to full potential. Casadei can have up to 180 PA . Understandly the CA's were downed but some of the players are just stupid how much they nerfed them. Probs on par with Leeds in terms of CA and for some reason all their players out on loan are better than any Leicester player. I also saw that bloody Jamal Lewis is better than James Justin FFS

Doubt it. Think it's the same database so otherwise they'd just have fixed bugs and things like that. Didn't have the early access so not sure if this has changed but seems guys like Vestergaard are easy to seel for decent money and some of the offers for Leicester players are pretty substantial. With my gaming hat I'd cash in on loads the players and reinvest but think I'll try and keep a similar team to real life. £20m for Faes is hard to ignore though!

As per usual, your write it is very well thought out and balanced but I would challenge a few takeaways. The fact that individuals played well and apart from Vardy (completely disagree that Iheanacho was worse than Vardy; might not have been amazing but was a million miles more involved and was an odd decision to not start him) and Casadei, shows it wasn't one of those games were the players were just off it. The means it's either one of those days where you don't get the luck, which wasn't the case because we created so little, or, as was the case, you've lost the tactical battle. You're right that this system needs a lot of time to bed in but there needs to be more adaptability. It doesn't mean we have to starting lumping the ball or always go 2 up top but there needs to be subtle tweaks. The fact that the wingers didn't touch the ball for 15 mins and somebody like KDH was barely involved shows that it wasn't working, nor was it going to work, yet nothing changed? With the quality of the squad, we can't cry about not having the options to change it, even with injuries. Not Enzo's fault at all but still more than enough players to make a difference against teams at this level. You've praised his sub of Casadei but also said he should have been hooked much earlier which is true. Doesn't deserve praise for taking too long to rectify the situation. Thought Leeds were decent but Sunderland played much better. So not a game I think we should look at and hold our hands up that the opposition were much better than us. We deserved to lose, or at best grab a point but not because of the excellence of the opposition. I've got 0 concerns about this season as we've already shown that even nowhere near our best, we'll win games. Like most people I generally love how Enzo speaks, the fact that he has reset the culture of the club, given the team an identity but the one big concern for me will be his ego/stubbornness. I'm not suggesting you abandon your game plan after 10 mins but he takes too long to change things around at times. Half-time at the latest we should have seen a tactical tweak and it never happened. QPR, he waited far too long to make a sub and it's glossed over because of a wonder strike. We've struggled against anything like decent teams so far by playing this style. I don't think he should give up on his principles but he needs to show a willingness to adapt against tougher opposition. It's a worry if that doesn't happen as we'll struggle in the PL where we're not so much better than everyone else. We didn't really deserve anything and I hope that him saying we did was just for show and not what he actually thinks. I also think the style is going to be painful to watch when we are trailing and in need of goal (standing on the ball and passing around the back in the 97th min is brain dead). To be clear, I really rate him and think he's doing a great job but he'll need to make some changes if he's going to become a top manager.
-
Yes, sometimes you don't. And sometimes you lose the tactical battle so you have to react. That didn't happen. The fact that both the wingers had pretty good games yet we had very few chances indicates it was a tactical failing. We need to be more adaptable. How many players actually played badly, do you think? A couple in my eyes which again shows it wasn't one of those days. We're absolutely going to lose games or draw when it is one of those days where we don't get the luck or the players are just off the pace but today wasn't one of those days. Would a different approach have guaranteed a win, no. But it clearly would have given us a better chance. Thought Leeds started superbly irrespective of our errors but on the whole, it's not a game where I've come away thinking how great the opposition were. Thought Sunderland's performance was more admirable. I'm far past the stage of letting a Leicester game ruin my mood but doesn't mean I'm not going to be disappointed when we haven't given ourselves the best chance we can to win. No concerns about how it'll impact this season but we've got a lot of learning and growing to do as a team (as has the manager) and we ideally need to do that this year so we're not playing catch up next season.
-
But it kind of was even if not complicated. It obviously wasn't working and nothing was changed for us. They didn't even play that well but had a plan and they probably edged it. We certainly didn't deserve to win. It was an incredibly flat, lethargic and one dimensional performance. Let's not blow it out of proportion because it's been an incredible start but these are the kind of games that show we need a plan b (even if that is fairly subtle) not so much for this season, but if we hope to compete in the PL next year.
-
Huh? I'm talking about the performance. It won't be a good performance whatever happens from here
-
It's the performance though. We've shown little apart from when we get it wide (which isn't happening because of the pace of play)
-
This has been woeful
-
Vardy needs hooking. Better not wait until 75 mins to make a change this week
-
Except for every cross he's put in and having Byram on toast. Not to mention he's been holding the ball up brilliantly and allowing us to play out from the back on several occasions because of that.
-
Leeds fans chanting about the ref . If he wasn't so s*** they'd be down to 10 men and it's doubtful they'd have a got even 1 penalty
-
Not sure it was a pen. Byram incredibly lucky to still be on the pitch.
