To be clear, I agree we needed reinforcements but we also know how s*** this board is. Point is, the calibre of player left means that we should still be steamrolling the league.

Unfortunately he's got the exact same issue as Rodgers in that he's so blinded by his system and way of playing, that he cannot simply see the alternatives. Generally really like his attitude and culture (though Hamza not being dropped and having the armband is an absolute disgrace) but he's absolutely has to learn how to adapt and at least have something proper in the back pocket.

1/10 today. Absolutely abject in every aspect. You can't have a system that relies purely on structure and patterns of play if you don't give players alternative solutions. Substitions were hopeless (why leave 4 defenders on when they didn't even get into our half). Don't put Iheanacho on the bench when he's the only different option up front? And one of his great strengths has been his integrity and attitude. But the last few performances have been that of absolute bottle jobs and his decision to give Hamza the armband is disgusting.

If we throw this away it's down to the players and management. Standard of this league is woeful we should never let a lead of this size slip.

He really hasn't. His stats would tell you he's hardly been 'so poor'. Ridiculous hyperbole as per usual on here. Rightly he didn't get back into the squad post AFCON but he completely changed the game in midweek. After that, and the fact he offers something different, he should be in every squad. As you say, we play one striker so what's the point in having 3 guys in the same mould in the squad? One is never going to get used. Better to have a guy that offers something different as an option. Awful management if that's purely a football reason.
