Their is no loyalty in football and backroom staff change all the time, I would say he has been lucky to have 20 years?? Not worth a thread over someone that is easy to replace and someone that leaked teams, and undermined managers. I like the bloke personally, he sorted my shoulder out at the club years ago and had drinks with him etc. But it’s not really relevant he is easily replaceable and after 20 years probably needs a shake up? Who cares. No idea why you mentioned loyalty?

5 pages of rubbish because we have got rid of a physiotherapist? Loads of good ones in the world, who cares

Well my personal opinion is that our full strength starting 11 last season was amazing for leicester city, we usually have a net spend of about 35 million and we finished 5th due to loss of form, injurys and the whole pandemic thing. We had one miraculous season that we finished higher 🏆 . But if I look at our starting 11 last season compared to previous Leicester teams I would say it’s amazing. But the squad isn’t, otherwise we would have finished 3rd. I’m not sure what you expect, we have been rubbish for the vast majority of my lifetime and last season we challenged the big boys and still finished amongst them. Weather you liked Chilwell or not, he is a good player, and would walk in to most teams. If we had 2 amazing attacking wide men then we would have been one of the best teams in Europe, but we are leicester city, finished in the top 5 twice in like 60 years, normally we are in the championship or fighting relegation, so for me last seasons first 11 was amazing

So I’m not talking in terms of Man City, I’m taking in terms of a leicester city starting 11 and last season only a few teams had a better 1
-
It is compared to the starting 11’s Leicester are used to. Last season I can only thing of 2-3 teams with a better 11 In the prem
-
No? Best starting 11 we have had, was top 3 most of the season until injurys, suspensions and players out of form. Just my opinion anyway
-
Our starting 11 is amazing, it’s the squad that lets us down.

Well until October

I Disagree, pre season is all about fitness

Would say that’s down to quarantine? No team will be ready for the start of the season. The whole pandemic football has been a joke to be honest. I for one can’t be bothered to watch football until the fans are back.

Can’t believe how serious people take friendlies, why? It’s about building match fitness, results do not matter at all.

You not been to the Amalfi coast then???

The table is over 38 games

😂🤣😂 you can’t be serious

No i judge a season on what position you finish at the end of the season. When we were flying I knew we were a few injuries or players losing form away from a bad run as the squad isn’t good enough, especially compared to the big 6. And I personally think if lockdown hadn’t happened we would have breezed the top 4, but lockdown brought injurys to key players and we didn’t have the quality of player to replace them. We all know our first 11 is good enough for the top 4, but we also know the back up players aren’t.
-
Players get booed by their fans when they are in a title race? we are leicester city and have just had our 2nd highest finish to a prem season and before lockdown we were 3rd and our fans boo a player 🤷♂️ anyway I get booing if we were battling relegation. It’s a shame that a top class football gets booed by his own fans. Also I can’t remember Chelsea booing players?
-
I don’t see the comparison?? Chilwell was playing for a team in 3rd place of the prem league and England’s 1st choice left back. Sunderland well they were losing game after game and dropping down at a rapid pace, not sure they would have booed England’s left back that came through the academy and was 23 and if they were sat 3rd in the prem 🤷♂️
-
Yeah possibly his own lack of belief, but I heard about him being one to look out for before 2015. I might be wrong, but I think he captained most of the academy teams?
-
Chilwell was always a top prospect, not just from 2015, they had massive hopes for him in the academy through all age groups.

Will Brendan Rodgers be judged on next season's results?

So that points swing happened when players were out of form or injured, all key men. The squad players came in and unfortunately we’re not at the same standard as what the first 11 are capable of. So yeah it comes to finances as with more money = better strength in depth. Just like Man Utd who caught us. -

Finances mean everything, better players, better squad. Are you deluded? Obviously you think Leicester are a top 4 team, enjoy Lala land 👍 -

So you honestly think the Leicester squad, money we spend on transfers, money spent on wages is that of a top 5 team? Assuming so, otherwise why mention the managers wage? We didn’t bottle it we had injurys and players out of form and found out what we knew all season, the squad isn’t good enough. -

We finished 5th, 2nd best finish in like 60 years. It’s always nice to have a good start to the season, but the table never lies after 38 games and Leicester finished 5th, way higher than what I expected personally. So Rodgers didn’t get the sack for finishing 5th? -

I think the goal again and will be for the foreseeable future is to develop the team and challenge the big 6. Last season we did and broke them up and finished 5th, is we can finish in the top 6 again it would be an amazing achievement. Realistically we can finish 4th down to 8th. Any lower than that and I think the manager will then get deserved stick. But unfortunately based on Foxtalk and not based on any Leicester fans I know, the knives are out and that would suggest a large section of this forum believe we should be in the top 4, as they are not happy with 5th. The table never lies after 38 games and we were the 5th best team last season and that to me is a step in the right direction. Also it Depends on finances, we know We have a first 11 that can compete with the top 4, but any players out of form or injury issues and our squad is not good enough. So if we can add 4-5 players of quality, then who knows. The main thing is we keep moving forward under Rodgers, just like we have done since his time in charge. Most exciting time ever to be a leicester fan, as for the first time in our history we have a chance of winning a European trophy and challenging for a champions league spot. But we do need a good start to get the confidence back. -
From what the original source mentioned, the bid that was rejected was from Leicester
