  14. Were there children getting stabbed back in day? genuinely not sure as I was born in the 90's. Because it happens daily now
  15. yep you could be right, hard to measure statistics with this one.
  16. 3 days a week but I am a Director. Trainees in 5 days a week, flex if they need to be at home (child sickness, dog ill, whatever) then experienced members have more flexibility.
  17. You could argue there were less mental health issues before WFH became a thing after covid, WFH didn't exist pre covid on the whole.
  18. What sector of work out of interest? What metrics do you measure success within the team? do the individuals roles generate revenue for the company? i disagree it is based on fear, all our top performers are in the office day in day out, some have choice and still chose to come to the office. They get far better results my thought process on this is mainly around trainee's, and young people benefiting form the day to day interactions of being in an office environment
  19. If we offered the choice and they WFH from the start, they most likely wouldn't be making money for the company as they wont have learnt the required skills, this would mean they wouldn't have a job in 3 months so wouldn't benefit them in any way
  20. Maybe it is job dependant, a large part of my role is speaking on the phone/sales/business development etc. You simply cannot learn the skills to be good at this by WFH by yourself learning from a teams training course WFH can work if your only job is say data entry and requires no/minimal human contact, or have progressed within a company where you know your trade well and earn't the flexibility
  21. We just don't hire people who want to WFH, especially trainees. You have to earn the right, and the higher you move up a company, the more flexibility and trust you earn to WFH a couple of days a week. Trainees should want to be in an office environment absorbing every conversation, learning, decision making face to face with peers etc. That cannot be replicated at home
  22. my bad.. yes it is a cooker!
  23. They just don't miss do they when they make one, will be watching re-runs over Christmas That skiing fridge scared the Sh*t out of me when i was younger
  24. i've actually never met someone who likes it, and if so i wouldn't want to be associated with them! why on earth it is on prime tv on Christmas day i will never know.
