  1. He’s playing a 4-4-2 base formation/without the ball with Mavididi up front with Daka. When we’ve got possession it’s a back 3 of Nelson/Coady/Thomas. McAteer drifts inside to play as a 2nd Number 10 with Mavididi and Pereira pushes higher to be “the right winger”. Is how I see it
  2. Every single pre-season game is behind a paywall.
  3. Will never understand Leicester fans and the obsession for a big bastard up front. Weghorst isn’t terrible but some people are going on like he’s gonna score 20 goals for the club 😂
  4. Posted this in the club direction thread but need to reiterate how angry this one has made me feel. There needs to be a ****ing protest at the first game of the season about the current running of this football club. The people making these kind of decisions are beyond the pale. Charging people £10 to watch a non-competitive football match, to me is actually one of the worst things that has been done in recent memory. Top and those in power can get to ****, family club my ****ing arse. Horrible, cash hungry bastards.

  6. Can’t believe the game on Tuesday isn’t being shown. What has happened to the media side of the club?
  7. The fan base won’t have it and will let him know it too. He’d be biting his nose off to spite his face Ric. Ward’s performances in our relegation season have long been attributed as one of the main reason’s we were relegated mate, surely he won’t do it?
  8. Steve Cooper’s reign will be short lived if he even thinks about making Danny Ward our number 1.
  9. Yes. 1000 times yes. Lad’s a baller. Under a proper man manager like Steve Cooper, telling him he’s the best thing since sliced bread, he’ll be unreal.
  10. Screams wingback for 3 at the back. He’s a more glamorous Marc Albrighton tbh.
  11. Rather play Sammy Braybrooke.
  12. The transfer fee is amortised. People see £30 million and think it’s all coming out the accounts at the same time, it’s £6 million a year spread over his 5 year contract. We aren’t skint, we’ve been handcuffed by the PSR rules. There’s a massive difference.
  13. 2 reasons he won’t end up at Roma: 1) They can’t pay the transfer fee or the wages we can. 2) The Premier League is the most competitive and most watched league in the world, he either thrives with us and goes to a big boy or he doesn’t and ends up in Serie A anyway.
  14. Looks like Steve’s going to alternate between a 3-4-2–1 and a 3-4-1-2 so think he will be included quite regularly this season.
  15. Celtic taking the piss with their valuation of O’Riley so I’d imagine Gronbaek is next on the recruitment team’s list.
  16. I think it was pretty obvious there would be little initial enthusiasm when the players have just lost the manager they’ve just had success under, let them play an attractive style of football and by all accounts was a very popular figure with the squad.
  17. Brilliant 🤣
  18. The photoshop job on that photo is horrendous 🤣. “Here you are lads, put these on.” ”No sponsor this year?” ”Not been sorted yet because Big Susan is still on holiday, so we’ll slap it on there digitally when she’s pulled her finger out”.
  19. Literally born in Bristol and spent his entire life in England. We can all be clever *****.
  20. Still think it’s a meh signing. Would have preferred Ramon Sousa. It is what it is but Cooper better get over this obsession of signing English players.
  21. Please let’s not compare Reid with Lookman, they are light years apart in terms of footballing ability. I still cry that we couldn’t make his transfer permanent.
  22. £50k a week for a player who’s spent the last 8 seasons in the Prem/Championship, it’s a conservative estimate when you factor in he’s spent 5 years at a club in one of the most expensive areas in London at Fulham.
  23. He will have had a few million in sign on fee. He will also be north of £50k a week due to his premier league history. If it’s a 3 year deal at £50k a week, that’s £7.6 million in wages alone. I’d rather have used circa £9-11 million on a player with potential and resale value.
  24. We have experience. Coady, Winks, Vestergaard, Vardy is a core leadership group of players that have played for their national sides and been around the Premier League for years. What we need is players that drastically improve our starting 11, Bobby De Cordova Reid doesn’t do that. The realistic way of doing that with our current financial situation, is by following the groundwork that was done in the last transfer window by signing young players with a high ceiling ability wise such as Hermansen and Fatawu.
  25. His wages and sign on fee won’t be cheap. It’s a poor signing because that money could be utilised elsewhere for a player with resale value and a higher ceiling.
