These people act as if it's not already obvious from whatever they've put in their bio too.

Coventry’s Obsession With Us
Voll Blau replied to Lineker's Left Foot's topic in Leicester City Forum
Fans of a football club making negative comments about their local rivals online? I for one am shocked. -
What would it take to turn on the owners?

The KPFC propaganda machine describing him as the club's "patriarch" was a bit of a fvcking stretch too. -

Not at all. Think many of us have contemplated it at some point, whether for our own satisfaction or a wider cause. I certainly get why people do it. -
Foxes Trust – LCFC Accounts Statement

Totally agree with you, but if you look at who's actually in the stadium these days that is not going to happen. Everybody who cares enough about what's happening could do that and it wouldn't touch the sides of the volume required to make it an effective form of protest, unfortunately. If boycotting is an individual, principled stand then that's absolutely fair enough and I don't blame anybody for doing it, but the brain-dead nature of much of our matchgoing fanbase means it's not currently a viable tactic to bring about change. Believe me, I wish it was - Blackpool stuck it out en masse and got what they wanted - but there's just no way that can work as an effective tactic to pressure LCFC right now. The last people to try a boycott (of just five minutes) were UFS at Arsenal in 2016. Only 100-odd in an away end of 3,000 joined and those of us leafleting at the turnstiles took dog's abuse from the very people being fvcked over at short notice by Sky, claiming we were letting down the team by missing some of the game. Shame the detractors didn't bother practising what they preached given the atmosphere was dog muck in our end that day... -
Foxes Trust – LCFC Accounts Statement

All of what you say is true, but surely you must realise you're miles more likely to have your opinion acted upon by an organised group if you're a member of said group yourself? If your circumstances don't allow you to throw yourself into being an active member then fair enough (mine don't at present, either) but organised strength in numbers is the only way we as fans can ever hope to effect the change we want. Every single person who signs up, no matter how much they can commit, adds to the FT's mandate of truly representing the fans' views. -

If enough people who want that to happen put their tenner in, then that's what will eventually happen. If you want the change you want to see, then you need to be willing to make it happen yourself. You can't just expect others to do that for you before you stump up.- 88 replies

If they aren't going to communicate or be transparent then a body of fans need to organise in order to challenge that position. If you're serious about hitting them in the pocket by boycotting games and merch then, guess what? That also requires organisation. Either way, you need to organise if you're serious about pursuing whichever tactic you feel is most effective.

That sample size only gets bigger if people choose to add to it though. How else do you think movements start? Dozens/hundreds/thousands of people with the same opinion don't just spontaneously spring up at the same time to effect change. It's the whole "I never vote because one vote doesn't make a difference" principle. Absolute nonsense argument that idiots think makes them sound intelligent.

Can only begin to imagine. Hope you manage to find a way back into it some day. -
Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast
Voll Blau replied to Ric Flair's topic in Leicester City Forum
Safe to say Ryan isn't just a loss to the deadheads at LCFC, but to English football in general, judging from that podcast. The sport needs way more people with his thought process and creativity in positions of real power. -
Grab a tenner and get involved!

What would it take to turn on the owners?
Voll Blau replied to MattFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Should have dawned when he did a lap of honour with the Premier League trophy and a portrait of a despot, rather than the fellas who were actually responsible for winning it. -
Because it never happened in the volume it has done in recent years, whatever time the kick-off is - and it certainly never happened when were pushing for late equalisers or winners in crucial games.

Still grates with me, that does. Not what football - and especially that story - should ever be about in a million years.
-
Of course he's in sole charge. It's in his gift to do what he likes, but he's repeatedly chosen to take no action when it's obviously been required. It's all well and good saying the layer of management below needs wholesale change - that's true - but ultimately everyone at the club reports to him. People need to stop making excuses for him. He runs the show, and if he's not capable of that then he should turn the club over to someone who is.

Well jealous of all the photos and posts I've seen of post-match boozing on King Street in Bristol today.

The problem is most parties don't fight it, even if innocent, because they don't want the hassle and want the issue out of their lives, when the reality is so many football convictions are unbelievably flimsy and due process isn't carried out in the way it is for other crimes. The police tried to get my mate after he was attacked by Sevilla fans who broke out of the (very loose) cordon outside the away end. Luckily, I persuaded him to fight it and, lo and behold, when it got to court the police and CPS were surprised by his "not guilty" plea. They'd no actual evidence against him to hand as they weren't expecting it, so had to drop the case on the spot. Arrogant chancers who'd have gladly ruined an innocent man's life just for a grubby notch on their football conviction statistics. It's dreadful.
-
Spot on. There are plenty of examples of people getting FBOs for non-violent offences that took place miles from the ground. The continued media blindspot for covering this stuff is staggering. There's no other area of crime reporting where there's so little scrutiny.

Suspect that's someone over a barrel being given orders from above. He's been at the Merc for years and has done plenty of good, respectable journalism in that time. -
If one good thing's coming out of this nonsense, it's that people have so much talent and ability to offer are organising for the cause of the fanbase. Let's hope the trend continues, it's really encouraging.
