  1. Again goes to show the folly of this format. India were under so little pressure for so much of this tournament because there was no jeopardy in so many of their games. The risk of knockout games are what makes World Cups in any sport so great - cricket needs to realise that again.
  2. Did a brief job with the ball too.
  3. Get why the Aussies wanted to unsettle India's bowlers early, but once they'd got those first boundaries away they should have just knuckled down for a bit. Think the top three were given licence to hit on the understanding Smith and Labuschagne would bring it home. Head's now having to take on one of those roles.
  4. This ground full is massively impressive.
  5. What songs that you can remember would you have people sing?
  6. Wolfsburg, over there, and Cardiff away, over here, too.
  7. A tanked-up prat screeching "WHERE'S YOUR FVCKING POPPY!" at police officers. We should scrap Armistice Day if that's what it's become about for even a single person. A day that's truly lost its meaning.
  8. Blokes who claim to show more respect for our war dead than anyone else doing the absolute opposite. Shock.
  9. Top for foreign beers too.
  10. It's "just a wind-up" though, right. Y'know, coz these same lads are always chomping at the bit to sing pro-Corbyn/BLM/"woke" songs against notoriously right-wing fanbases like Millwall or whatever... (Just to be clear, I wouldn't want a Leicester end singing that either)
  11. The amount of interventions by the ions that day would surely suggest they heard things clearly enough?
  12. Might be one where they show all simultaneously on the red button? Can technically get away with it as they're not Saturday 3pms.
  13. South American football is great (except adopting VAR).
  14. Two-footers flying in in injury time and the ref just acts like that's totally normal.
  15. Copa Libertadores is on BBC3 in 20 mins.
  16. You're unlikely to have run into any trouble (again, because it's better organised) but it's definitely happening there week in, week out. I've been as an ordinary groundhopper to many games and had the same kind of experiences as you too, but found out after the fact that there'd been sometimes quite a lot of violence at some of the games I'd been to. Most would be none the wiser to it unless it happens in the ground though.
  17. Tribalism and hooliganism in Germany are far more severe than in this country. Yes, you might get a certain section of the ground where fans can feel safe to mix freely, but I'd say in general - having experienced being an away fan in Germany a few times now - that English towns and cities are much safer and more welcoming places to be than German ones. As you correctly point out though, organisation is the key to a good atmosphere these days and that is something we've spectacularly failed to latch on to in this country for generations.
  18. Club's policy of keeping out anyone who won't stump for a membership on the grounds of alleged safety/touting concerns is clearly watertight then...
  19. Guinness? Around the £4 mark.
  20. Absolutely mad stuff here. Can't deny this Indian attack.
  21. Duffy's is definitely the best Guinness in Leicester.
  22. Anyone who wants this is psychopathic.
