  1. Every single manager failing with this group probably indicates that the managers are pretty powerless. I can’t believe people are criticising Rowett (bar some bad selections), the look on his face is a man who got with a good looking woman then realised after less than a month that she’s bonkers.
  2. This place already got protested against as they’re 🇮🇱’s biggest drone provider in Europe. Seems they’re providing lots to Ukraine too.
  3. You kinda mention it at the end but Starmer as a politician doesn’t actually believe in anything. He sees himself more as a manager, which is actually sad when you look at the evidence from his career, what his actual passions are.
  4. I know he’s wildly unpopular but I hope he doesn’t resign, the world is chaos right now and he seems to finally be getting it in terms of how to move forward with it. The next few months are going to be choppy economically and geopolitically. There’s not a single person Labour could put forward that would poll better than Starmer in the long run because of the wider socio-economic situation. People are frustrated because everyone’s standard of living is eroding, some of us blame the rich (me), some incorrectly blame immigration, realistically it was Thatcher and then Cameron/Osborne put the final nail in the coffin in 2010 and 2016. Its irreversible decline, Reform will only hasten it. The point is, even if he’s a lame duck, any new person would be too. So he should stay, take some tough decisions with his massive once in a generation majority and do what he feels is right, not what might score +1 in next weeks Yougov poll, which is how British politics is run these days sadly.
  5. I can’t see Forest beating Villa over two legs. Villa just have too much depth and Emery is a master of two legged football. Which makes it even more likely Forest win.
  6. Remember when this competition was good. Now you got the 4th and 16th best teams in England, the 4th in Portugal and 10th in Germany making it to the semi’s.
  7. It can be both, transitioning back to ‘civilian life’ after being a footballer for your whole life is still tricky. Depression and alcoholism are rife in ex footballers. Yes money makes you more resilient but your lifestyle completely changing can be very challenging. Especially if you’re living in chronic pain too.
  8. Honestly not really the point. At the very least releasing him just after the season has started is a very poor show.
  9. Like Atleti Barca last night (and include PSG who play good football). The European elite are not only better than English teams but play much better aggressive football.
  10. You would barely believe me if I said that the Russian MOD released a statement threatening to bomb the Meridian in town, but here we are.
  11. 11 possibly 12 Chinese players in the hat for the first round. A decade or two and the sport will be completely Chinese dominated. The difference in calibre between young Chinese and UK players in crazy. Also maybe time for a Europe v China style competition??
  12. Behind a paywall but I assume somebody already employed is taking over?? Bit harsh on Rae but not a surprise given the BBC cutbacks. I don’t think he’s as bad as people on here think, him crying when we beat Essex back in the day was stuff of legend.
  13. And hey presto, he’s reopening it because Xi Jinping asked him to. One of the most humiliating episodes in American history surely??
  14. Ademola Lookman man, wins a team the europa league single handedly then fires one of europes finest into a UCL semi, wasn’t good enough for Leicester though.
  15. I mean what are they gonna do to Chinese vessels??! Same with most European ones to be honest?? They gonna sink the boats of their allies and also the worlds most important economic player?
  16. Well I’m a loyal fan and I’ll still be on Coach One going to exciting new grounds like Bromley and Stevenage watching our beloved LCFC while singing Dilly Ding Dilly Dong, our Chang Lord Top, looks good in a thong 😍😍
  17. I don’t really see how bowling into the best area of the pitch to get a wicket can be perceived as ‘negative play’.
  18. Said it on another thread but there was a post-Covid purge and blockade of the sort of fan that should be there now. We were either banned or priced out and never allowed back in through the clubs stupid ticketing policy. It was by design of course as OAP’s and families are the least likely to kick up a fuss when poo hits the fan.
  19. Enzo was screaming into void through his leaks to Ballague and most of the fans turned around and told him to leave if he didn’t like the owner. That turned out well.
  20. You mean Man Utd had yet another new manager before the players got comfy and they turn to crap again??
  21. Ingram’s still their key man though. They’re also light on bowlers so it’ll be interesting to see what pitch they put on. If we can get a positive result then we’ll be flying.
  22. It’s not quite over yet!
  23. Orban’s biggest issue is that he’s a corrupt asshole. Magyar isn’t some liberal legend, he’s from Orban’s party but left because he couldn’t stand the corruption anymore. He’s obviously not in the Kremlin’s pocket like Orban but he’s also not a pro European EU fan and will still be a difficult partner for Ukraine if Ukraine continues to blow up the oil supplies to Hungary.
  24. I met him several times years ago when he was in charge of the academy. He’s not arrogant, he’s just a bit odd and awkward. Quiet but could be a little rude but really just a bizarre character if I’m honest when you consider how things have worked out for him.
