There are many older white people that still squirm at us gay people. Everyone laughing about pronouns and whatever too. Muslims in the uk aren’t stopping anyone from being gay. Again what do you suggest we do about it?

Nobody wants people crossing on dinghy’s whether you’re left, right or washing machine. Europe is screwed because we deindustrialised in the late 70’s, early 80’s and we don’t have enough workers to undertake manual labour jobs such as within the care sector. So unless we massively incentivise white people to do these jobs by increasing the minimum wage to something livable (which would be seen as economically reckless), you’ll have to put up with non white people from poorer countries doing these jobs on the cheap to prevent collapse.

The other option is of course, just banning left wing parties. And in general banning immigrants from voting. And why not include all disillusioned under 40 year olds too?? That way the successful gravy train can keep on rolling.

I think only an idiot would argue that there’s a mutual crossover but ultimately it doesn’t have to be that everyone is pulling in the same direction on these issues. Why does a gay person not want homophobes droning G*sans to death, it’s because we would rather people to be alive to change and evolve. What do any of the other parties have to offer immigrants other than using them as a political tool???

Thankfully we live in a democracy where everyone’s vote is equal. The Islamic vote is such a silly cope given 50% of young people in this country would vote for the Green Party if there was an election tomorrow. If people on the right want to cope themselves into thinking that the Greens only won because of Islam then that’s fine with me as it’ll miss the real economic and social reasons why a progressive left movement is thriving (like always it’s the economy).

You’d think they’d be happy with a white working class labourer making it to parliament. It’s almost like it isn’t actually about that and reform are actually the ‘elite’ that was a reinforced unequal society that they can leach and make the most money off.

If they’re gonna lose in 2029 they might as well use their massive majority to enact proper social change in this country, rather than the tepid stuff they’re doing now.

Nowhere near as close as the press were suggesting. A couple of Westminster journalists have tweeted they were out and about and despite the noise, it was the Green’s focus on local/economic issues that convinced people to come out and vote. We will sadly hear a lot of “our country is gone” today and some horrible stuff. But ultimately a white female plumber from Manchester has become an MP representing a progressive party. I like it.

I think it’s a tad easier for Starmer if he loses it to the Greens than Reform. A Reform win would be a disaster for a lot of reasons, mainly as that eugenicist Nazi clown Goodwin would have a seat in parliament.

People suffered before Trump and people will suffer after Trump. If anything Trump shows how utterly powerless an American presidency is within the systems that we live in. The last ones to have any meaningful power were Reagan and FDR.

He’s a prat and I disagree with almost everything he says but he’s still good in terms of what the western system needs. If the Dem’s don’t put up a transformative candidate in 2028 then they suck. If the EU and UK doesn’t stand on its own two feet ASAP then we suck. He’s also the funniest guy to ever do it.
