Come across this on Ch.82 on freeview, Talking Pictures channel called Abandon Ship. A black and white from 1957, Tyrone Power starring. Apparently based on a true story. The officer decides who lives and who dies on his lifeboat, just shows you do not need big epic stuff to make a great movie, just like other movies like Twelve Angry Men and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. At the end of the movie a question pops up,....guilty or innocent?

One third of the way through season 7 of Supernatural and Becky returned. There's a huge number of guest actors from other sci-fi and fantasy shows that have appeared from Buffy to BSG but I think it's kinda cool that both the girls from Ginger Snaps have both had decent guest roles in the show, Brigitte being Becky. Ginger Snaps was a very good werewolf movie and the second was good too, the third movie was OK too.

Nice little documentary on Hammer.....

The PL are too weak and lets face it, bent, to really go after Chelsea, Man City etc., so they select what they consider easier targets to crack down on to look good in the media, Everton, Leicester etc., but being half arsed and anti competitive really does no one any favours, building a house of cards you better be damn careful where you blow.

I find it funny that peeps are saying LCFC cheated by getting relegated and avoiding a points deduction when the threat of a points deduction is getting relegated and we have come back with a weaker squad, not a stronger one and having been forced to sell probably our best player. The club have not really benefited from this.

Black Lagoon, a story of pirates, mercs, bounty hunters etc., all in one place.

RIP James Darren, played Vic in DS9

Patch was the identity wolvie used whenever he was in Madripoor. basically he wore an eye patch and sometimes a dapper suit, sometimes blue combat gear. This was from the Wolverine comic that followed on from the mini series, still have issue 1 to 60 odd of this run.

3 games in, 1 point, overall assessment …

Struggle to keep a clean sheet, relying on the football equivalent of old Ben Kenobi with no Luke Skywalker alongside to outscore the opposition and a slowly descending pendulum blade of points deductions hanging over us, prognosis is a one way trip down to the calamityship unless Vards turns into Pop Eye with his Redbull instead of Spinach to the rescue -
Past it at Prem level, can't understand why he was given a new contract unless it's because it's insurance for if, when we get relegated.

Coopers going to Frankenstein the feckers together to make a monster inside the box
-
Wouldn't believe everything his mother says though

Remember this issue, after the team was gone and Wolvie has to go out looking to rebuild it......stashed away in one of my comic boxes.
-
SPOILERS.............. Seeing Wolvy don the mask at long last, now we just need the brown, yellow version of the costume
-
Put Ward up front, absolute calamity in the box, just tripping over his own feet would probably get us 6 to 10 penalties.

Higurashi, an old anime series, strangely cutesy animation for a very dark show, a curse, madness, time looping, torture and death. Nice themes though... and an English version of the second theme

Did they lose their license or just shut up shop? Most of the anime I have is on disc from a decade plus of collecting, also watch a few shows on Youtube. Kinda miss the anime conventions that used to take place annually in Leicester before Covid at Leicester university during the summer. though I think their website is still around as they do conventions elsewhere. AnimeLeague I think it is called. Was interesting as one year they had the female head of a high ranking Japanese house there helping to raise funds for the Earthquake that hit that year, she was dressed in full kimono etc., and held a class talking about cultural differences between Japan, the USA and the UK plus she taught those present a few sentences in Japanese.

I really cant be arsed anymore, just feel a disconnect from the place and have better things to spend my cash on.

Saw the original at the cinema, got the Dvd then the Bluray and I always had a soft spot for the movie which was centered around the young girl who knew the couple, the street cop and Eric. I have seen nothing but bad reviews for this remake and after watching this, I understand why.

Found this video, a half decade old now so already out of date but pretty good.

Cameron seems to have a thing for getting rid of grain from his movies, the 4k version of T2 was panned, I got it but prefer the bluray version. Have Aliens on Dvd and Bluray so I think I'll skip, though I do have Alien on 4k which is my preferred version.

Obviously been shown a video of the city centre cunningly mixed in with edited snippets of Paris, New York and London and a CGI version of the ground after a rebuild and the local Morrisons probably pushed it over the line.
-
Alex Cox introduced it, remember a fair few classics for that time and a fair few that would become classics like Terminator, he'd do a short intro detailing who directed, why the film was as it is etc., Looking up the guys name and brought back memories of this film, Vamp.

Said before the season started I thought this is going to be a dire shitfest of a season, so I'm not that upset to be honest, just have to see if some miracle of hard work, bonding and pure luck will change my mind of if we are truly just marking time before returning to the Championship for another attempt at a promotion push but being less PSR screwed.

This anime was so bad that apparently when it was sold to America they were allowed to dub it anyway they wanted, so they just did, funniest official dubbing ever
