He very directly addressed criticism that’s been prominent recently. Name checked Alves and suggested he’ll get a chance but needs to take it. Mentioned not attacking in friendlies. Mentioned negative football at Forest. Mentioned him not being universally welcomed by fans. There was more, and some more specific that I can’t remember at the minute but either directly or indirectly, I’m convinced he reads this place.

Anyone else get the impression he reads this place? Every bit of criticism he mentioned or addressed has been covered here.

I get the shouts re Alves but a few things haven’t really been addressed. 1- nobody knows what his agent is demanding and this could be driving the decision. 2- He’s had a really bad injury, what his agent is asking for might reflect our appetite for this risk. If we offer him a 5 year deal on silly money I guarantee people critisise it. 3- He’s played about 30 mins of first team, professional football has he not? I’m all for wanting a young local lad in that looks class but nobody knows what’s going on and throwing a young lad into this season might not be wise. All of that said, if he leaves on a free and we aren’t doing what we can to prevent that then the club can **** off.

Nah, generally speaking people are most likely to buy kits as that’s what players wear than training kits that rarely get seen and this is why you see so many clubs with significantly better designs on training tops- as it’s the only way they sell.

Struggling with the suggestions on Hamer being as he did little in the Prem last season. We might not be far off Sheff U levels last season so bringing someone in that didn’t do it for them doesn’t fill me with much enthusiasm.
