And when being subbed, deliberately choosing to walk the opposite way around the pitch to avoid us and end up clapping the Preston fans tells me everything I want to know about him.

Yup, it’s very clear that we are selling players to clear loans and make ourselves financially viable again. You can’t criticise the action because without it this club is 100% in huge shit if we don’t go up , but you should absolutely go for the throat on the cause because it means we won’t compete.

And call for the club to suggest actions to rebuild the fans trust in the club and relations with the players.

Oh yeah completely agree, but it generally is an echo chamber isn’t it and it does need to be acknowledged that sometimes the view isn’t 100% represented across the supporter group. But like you say, it’s a good sample size which should be listened to and it’s probably why the club reads this and has made actions based on our comments (the shirt sponsor).

We will still have similar constraints. PSR breach due to the wage bill and a black hole in finances due to TV money we aren’t getting being borrowed against. Id struggle to see how this turns around in a season.

I’ll get pelters for this, and probably rightly so, but are we in a position to turn down £30m for a player that’s had 2/3s of a good season in the championship and then done his ACL? I know we are ****ed, and he’s probably the only glimmer of hope we have for this season but that’s a serious offer. If I trusted us not to replace him with Andros Townsend I’d be inclined to say that turning it down is an enormous risk.

I get the criticism of some who might want to sit there in silence, but equally it might be people who struggle to stand so it’s only fair to book further back if you go want to.
