  1. I’m with Phil
  2. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Weren’t you excited about getting in most of our signings at the time?
  3. I think some empathy is needed re: how tough it actually is pragmatically to run an ambitious club. In some ways we have been a victim - of our own success. If you qualify for Europe you need to have enough players of enough quality to qualify again the next year with an increase to the fixture list. To do better the next year to do better you need to offer more money to attract better players. It’s great if you qualify again. The problem is when you don’t. You are then left with a bloated squad of players on good money who don’t want to take a pay cut when other clubs want to buy them. You cannot help but lose them on a free once they’ve decided to run their contracts down. Performance levels drop off and financial restrictions for clubs like Leicester mean you cannot refresh and add quality. Add relegation into the factor and you are potentially facing financial armageddon. We should be counting our lucky stars we are top of the league and looking good for promotion because not going up is going to be catastrophic with the all the staff costs and overheads from Seagrave. I don’t see how we could ever balance those sort of costs being outside the Prem. Main point is that getting into Europe and not staying there is an absolute killer and not much you can do if fat cat players then don’t want to be sold.
  4. People are understandably reactive today but I’d rather we said ‘no’ to a deal than go ahead when we couldn’t afford it. THAT is running the club properly. Truth is we are all speculating. Maybe it was true all along that we had to sell before bringing Sensi in. Or there was a complication from his entourage / Inter that we couldn’t swallow. We just don’t know. All the talk about needing new ownership is just clickbait.
  5. We can’t have it both ways. Angry with Rudkin for not spending the money. Angry with him because he did.
  6. Everyone saying Rudkin or the club are muppets need to realise that maybe Inter or the agent are trying to make muppets out of us. We don’t need him. Would like him though.
  7. We need to get behind Enzo like never before. He’s kept his side of deal. He literally couldn’t have delivered more. If you don’t like seeing how he has our team playing you may need to learn to see differently because not only is it effective it’s actually fascinating.
  8. Let’s remember that Doyle is coming back from an injury so is working himself back up to speed.
  9. We all thought that purple patch he had could be his level if played often enough. You have to conclude that it was just a purple patch now. He disappoints more than he delivers. Below Daka for me now.
  10. The best we played out of the three finals under O’Neill is the one in which we lost to Spurs. If that wasn’t bad enough at the time I was working in a bar owned by two Spurs fans. At the end of my shift I had to mop the floor, whilst they looked on and gleefully sang, “Leicester mop the floor”.
  11. Will take it. Was fully expecting Man City as per tradition.
  12. I really liked how physical and aggressive he was trying to win the ball back. He might be small but he’s a terrier.
  13. Good one! 🤣
  14. I’m getting this too on Safari with an iPhone 12 Pro.
  15. I just refuse to believe the club would sanction this sale. I’ll pin this quote to my posts if it happens! But it’s not. KDH stays.
  16. Is KDH a Leicester fan?
  17. He’s worth more!
  18. Exactly where we were two seasons ago. If they fail to qualify for Europe again they’ll have a bloated squad on big wages and will need to sell like we did for reasons of FFP. If players don’t want a wage cut they’ll see out their contracts and leave on frees. Seem familiar? We were the model club once. They’re just the next. Then comes the fall.
  19. I guess it’s about any process or change. The first step is rejection. Then acceptance. Getting onboard with the change often comes later.
  20. Also no one plays just ‘counter attack’ anymore like when we won the league. They beat teams dominate possession AND counter attack like we used to.
  21. A percentage of our fans would turn their noses up if Pep were to come here. Is our fan base becoming a bit West Ham? Turning on the manager because he don’t play ‘the West Ham way’. Even they wouldn’t do that when having the 2nd best start in The Championship’s history.
  22. So just why are so many here unhappy? You have to conclude it’s (a) a level of stupidity (b) an outrageous amount of spoilt entitlement (c) unable to adapt to a new style that is evidently very successful. Re: (c). Enzo did ask for patience when he came in. He’s delivering. A vocal minority of our fanbase are not keeping up their side of the bargain.
  23. You need to learn a new way of seeing. Moving the ball around to move the opposition out of place is fascinating to me, bit like Maresca I love Chess. The get it forwards brigade are perhaps a bit like those who know what they like and want to stick to it. They like ‘Blue Nun’ and they can’t appreciate the complexity of a good vintage.
  24. Coady doesn’t look very good from what I’ve seen of him playing for us.
  25. I’ve seen enough from our fan base to know that they won’t show Enzo any patience through a Premier League sticky patch. Loads of them are on his back after a start beyond their wildest dreams in terms of results. Hopefully the owners will stick with him long term because firing him after investing so much in him will be a disaster.
