@Babylon has not been seen or heard of for some time. I genuinely hope all is well with him, as in a weird way I've missed his staunch defence of any criticism levelled at Rudkin and KP. After two relegations in 3 seasons, I'm not sure that even he would still be in denial that they have atrociously mismanaged the club from where we were 3 to 4 years ago.

The pedant in me makes me point out that he wasn't sold as he left on a free out of contract, excusing us from having to riot.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Not just at management/boardroom level either. See extended contracts for Ward, Vestergaard, etc. Will be calamitous for next season if we keep RvN. -
Registration JR14 LATE?

What’s the plan for the next five games
1972 Fox replied to JimmyC74's topic in Leicester City Forum
The an will be the same as after the 2023 relegation..... "Over the coming days and weeks, we need to reflect on the processes and decisions that have brought us to this point. What we learn from this experience must convert into action that makes us stronger and prevents this happening to us again in the future." Oh wait..... -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
1972 Fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He's been an absolute disaster of an appointment as most of you on here agree and he absolutely must be shown the door. But the clowns 🤡 running the club remain in place and will continue to be so. Their remit will include selecting the new manager. Combine this with the poor quality of what will remain of our playing squad and it doesn't bode well for next season IMO. -
And there lies the problem. We'll be stuck with a good few crap players on ridiculous contract.
-
Think that is earlier than 74. Based on the players (Willie Carlin?) and kit I would say 71/72 shortly after the arrival of Jimmy Broomfield.
-
Did anyone think it was a bit strange the way Scheffler put the green jacket on McIlroy and then just immediately walked off without even shaking his hand?
-
Henni Zuel. That is all.
-
Good shout 👏. Has a good track record with promotions at lower league clubs. Could be ready for the step up.
-
One can but hope. If only we could offload the majority of the current first team squad.

Is the Community Shield classed as a major trophy? Just asking

Just watched the players coming out at Craven Cottage for the Fulham vs Palace QF. The atmosphere looks absolutely fantastic and similar to what we used to produce home or away not so long ago. So sad that we are so far removed from this sort of atmosphere and occasion now. How has it fallen so far, so quickly?
-
It will be a disaster if we keep RvN as our downward spiral will continue IMO. He has shown absolutely nothing to suggest he's a good Manager. We need to replace him with someone who will give us a chance of competing for promotion.

Will there be a fanzone to enhance the 'matchday experience'?

Oldham at home New Years Day 1979. Gary Lineker debut.

Your 90 Minutes Session-Priority Points

You're not wrong. It has now become so unenjoyable for me to be a match-going fan. After following the club at home, away and abroad since the seventies, I'm done with it. Never thought the day would come but I don't even see myself missing it with the way the club is now. -
Foxes Trust Calls for Ticket Price Freeze
1972 Fox replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
Absolute nonsense. The club know they have a captive audience/fanbase to an extent and will pitch their ticket pricing where they think it will maximise ticket revenues as that is how they operate. There will be a percentage of fans (including myself) voting with their feet for next season but many existing or new supporters will continue to pay the prices set as it is very difficult to give up on the club you love. -
Each week Colin Murray has a club historian on to explain the origin and link of the song to the particular club. Hope we get someone properly knowledgeable rather than a Ginetta type.
-
I listen to this every Sunday morning on the Colin Murray show on 5 Live (feature starts 10.30). There is some really interesting history behind most of the various club anthems featured. Hope ours does us justice with WYS. I'm wondering when it started on our terraces? I can remember it as far back as 1982 during our FA Cup run that season.

Yes, come on the Grecians. If only Tony Kellow was still alive. Dumped us out in 1981.
