  1. I can’t answer for @The Bear obviously. But it’s a double gamble, the accumulator and one (when I did it after seeing his early winners) guess at a price that’s generous and pray for an early goal. I don’t think you can really do any amount of homework that tells you which lesser team will go ahead against superior opposition. That part is luck. The other is where you can make the most of what you can make if the big odds guess comes in. I found the frequency of losers was so high, it was better to go big on something I actually fancied rather than a true gamble with the outsider and a bunch of odds on, usually under priced sides. I’m generally terrible so I do check in here a lot for value and seeing any new methods. For all I said about profit making earlier, I punt because I enjoy it (or not). If anyone fancies a bit of a syndicate next season or over the Euros, I’d be game. I’m sure you lot can pick more winners than me
  2. Yankee* Hopefully that makes sense! I generally don’t cashout an acca unless I have a bad feeling about the last leg, for ones that have staggered KOs. With the 2-2s, I’d take the cashout if it’s a decent pick up. Never expect those to win, just look for in play profit. If it’s looking anywhere near, I’d decide whether to cash out the 4 fold or the Yankee. Always leaving one running (stubbornness). I didn’t have it today but in hindsight, the two 0-0s would’ve been a great bet.
  3. That’s what I’m at, profit is profit. You’re hoping for an outsider to go ahead and ‘bankers’ to win that aren’t really bankers. The value is in same time kickoffs that have goals and you can cashout for what is going to be a losing bet. £100 on 4 2-2s and the trixie. Once goals go in, you can get £200-800. If it all came in, you’d be about £70k up. But you have the choice to leave the trix or the acca. You can gamble and still be a well up. Really into the horses as well, get a good few tips from my time in North Yorks and Northumberland. More than happy to share but they aren’t my ‘tips’.
  4. I don’t reckon these bets are value anymore. One (or 2/3) doesn’t make a summer. I do 2-2 and 3-3 4 folds and Trixies. Can’t lose if you pick the right games. Reckon I’m about 4-5k up since the new year. Bigger stakes though, not £5s qand £10s Disclaimer: it’s definitely possible to lose
  5. @The Bear saw Volendam were 25/1 before kickoff. Lead the game twice before HT. Had your name written all over it.
  6. Norwich have so much space in midfield when they turn over possession.
  7. I didn’t vote for Leeds, but if the celebrations could be muted I’d not mind them up. It’s like a personal derby for me. They’re my version of Forest/Derby/Cov. Also would be absolutely buzzing if they lost the final in the last minute
  8. Another late equaliser!
  9. Yeah, when it’s that tight, not flagging isn’t an error either. Should be leaving it to the computer ti calculate.
  10. I’d guarantee the £350 profit. Always tricky when the games are spread apart but I think guaranteeing what is a decent return from £3 is sensible. Pot built back up, start again, happy days!
  11. yeah I can imagine it was slightly more exciting than yours Don D. Enjoy your Sunday me ode.
  12. I thought it was PL Runners Up who qualified in that instance? Strangely, the Charity Shield/Community Shield never seems to have the status the Spanish/Italian ‘Supercups’ do (although I could be way off)
  13. Time to take a quick scan over the Leeds forums for a good chuckle.
  14. So glad not to be involved in the auto/playoff drama today. We’ve proved ourselves, but looking at the Blackburn fixture brought sheet dread for a few weeks.
  15. Late Ipswich goal to confirm promotion?
  16. Not in a million years unfortunately!
  17. The players will definitely enjoy it. Many weren’t here last season or were outcast by Rodgers. They won’t see it as, we shouldn’t be here and the job is done. As fans, I think we should be proud of the club (ignoring the obvious flaws) for not capitulating and damning us to years of EFL obscurity.
  18. The sweetest part is, last nights result gave them a glimmer of hope. The pain will be prolonged and they absolutely hate the play-offs!
  19. FWIW… the two options you provided aren’t mutually exclusive!
  20. I hope you’re right. Surely a transfer embargo means you can’t sign a player who’s under contract. You then look at free agent. Anyone currently at the club, who’s contract is due to expire, is essentially a free agent, meaning they’re fair game for us to negotiate with.
  21. Because it’s horrendous.
  22. Chair keeps us top of the table!
  23. It’s important for the club that we achieve promotion. It’s come to a point where it’ll be relief rather than a celebration for me (if it does happen). If there’s an open top bus parade, it’ll be almost like we’re celebrating a failure (relegation and scraping promotion from a commanding position). That’s me speaking from a perspective of someone who thought we might even get relegated again.
