If you're from Braunstone: If you're not from Leicester and you're asking sincerely:
-
Why do we have to go through this every new signing, whether it's a manager or a player. Reliable media say its a done deal, the club take a few days to announce it, half of you have a melt down that it's not happening fast enough. These are real human beings, they have lives, families, they've got things to sort out before they come and get paraded round in front of the world. If you had to go home and tell your kids they had to move to Braunstone, wouldn't you want a day or two to deal with it?
-
@AjcW Did I hallucinate this or were BC GAME related to a parent company that covered half the league? Betano, BJ88, Dafabet, Debet?
-
You mean the Premier League that did exhaustive due diligence and concluded that the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund definitely isn't the Saudi government?
-
I mean it's just all very convenient isn't it. Leicester need a big injection of cash on the books this year to ward off PSR but there's a limit on what KP can pay themselves for a sponsor. So we end up getting sponsored by a company for a record fee who basically don't exist, have very little global presence, and surprise surprise fold up after a few months. Then hey presto, King Power probably immediately come back as sponsors any day now to fill the gap for the rest of the season with Top paying himself the maximum allowed by the league and getting his brand back on his own kit. Do we actually need to sack someone or do we in fact need to give the lawyers running the commercial team a payrise? Surely it's only a problem if we're caught doing something naughty and given that Man City have evaded punishment for sponsoring themselves for a decade or so now we're probably OK.
-
But it doesn't matter though right? Like I said, Top isn't cash poor and the club isn't cash poor. It's not administration we're trying to ward off, it's sanctions for OVER spending because we do have the cash there's just rules designed to keep us from challenging the established clubs. We don't necessarily need the cash in hand, we need it on paper and we had it on paper and now we can go and get more of it?
-
Everyone saying someone should be sacked etc. But hold on a minute. If the cynics on this forum are correct and this was less a real sponsorship deal and more a PSR / FFP scam so that the owners could put more of their money in to the club than sponsoring yourself allows... isn't this sort of a good thing? Because now we've got a perfectly good excuse to go and get another new sponsor and have two in one season...? In a year in which we're desperate for cash injections? And the only thing we lose is a bit of face? Like having money isn't our problem, right? Being allowed to spend it is. So even if it wasn't originally just a scam and we were expecting BC to pay monies they now won't, we were still spending based on income we expected to have by a contract and I imagine we're still covered then for PSR? I appreciate I'm waffling a bit here but it feels like people are over reacting a bit because they think we look incompetent when actually very few people outside of Leicester will give a shit, especially when half of the Premier League has got identical type sponsors?

Ruud awakening for the Premier League!
Finnegan replied to DJ Barry Hammond's topic in Leicester City Forum
Percy, Fab and even the BBC have said it's essentially done pending an announcement. Pretty obvious it's Ruud at this point. People just expect the club to announce new signings within ten minutes of journalists reporting on them and start freaking out. The BBC in particular pretty much never write a story until something is 99% done. -

Top left instructions to recruit the famous Dutch striker and Rudkin is in the process of hashing out a six year contract with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. -

It's his job to be contrary and controversial for engagement. He replaced Savage in that space. It baffles me people still fall for the trap. Regardless, it's pretty common for pundits to all say the exact same thing about newly promoted sides. -

Worst case scenario he can probably register himself to play and do more than Eduard so far. -

We weren't doing anything at all under Cooper. Neil Warnock would have been an upgrade. You'd have to go back to the dark pre-League One days to fine a more lost looking Leicester than Cooper's. -

As I said when he was first discussed, talking in the summer now, I don't think he's quite the coach some on here want to believe he is. I don't think his PSV played the football some of you think, I don't think he was universally adored there and some of the criticisms from the fans will hit a bit close to home here. But he had to be talked in to that job because he himself felt he wasn't ready, so that probably says a lot. We'll see. I'm a lot, lot more open minded than I was with Cooper but I don't for one second think we're out of the water yet. A lot will depend on how detail orientated he is when he arrives because the squad have made it clear that's what they want. -
Tempering expectations and obviously letting them know we're still limited by finances.

A data engineer isn't a data analyst. This isn't a job for someone to find the next Riyad Mahrez or Ngolo Kante using data, it's a job for a qualified IT professional with a background in data engineering to help work on LCFC's data infastructure. It's a pretty boring (unless you really love data infastructure), non-footballing role, every corporation in the world has data engineers in their IT departments. You're probably looking at £40 - 60k, I'd guess somewhere in the lower 50s unless they get a great candidate.
