I'm not gonna lie, that was needlessly sassy. I don't know what came over me.

What a bold ****ing prediction. Would you like to divine that it's going to rain some time this week n'all?
-
As questionable as our defence is, I genuinely think theirs is worse and they don't have Hermansen behind it. Doesn't really matter that you've got some quality forwards if you've got the single worst defence in the league.
-
Against an equally shit team. I'm not convinced any of the current bottom three survive without a Man City shaped miracle. Only reason I feel currently calm about our season.
-
I can't see a non-English club affording to him. I think he's pretty much THE perfect Guardiola keeper but we don't know what Man City's short to mid-term future looks like or how long Ederson will stay, 31 isn't old for a keeper. Chelsea are the club most likely to value Mads highly as long as Enzo is there although they're the club to have already spent the most on keepers lately. I actually don't see perfect selling conditions for Hermansen anywhere quite yet really. Not in terms of us really milking someone's need for a massive fee.
-
Why? They have absurd amounts of cash and wildly over pay. We've made an incredible amount of money selling Fofana, Drinkwater, Chilwell and KDH vastly over their values. We're not the top club in the food chain, we've got to sell to someone and we aren't competing with Chelsea. Enzo aside, I ****ing love Chelsea at the moment. They got us out of PSR mess we got ourselves in to and frankly I think Facundo and Bilal are an upgrade on KDH. Hermansen is destined for bigger things than Leicester, if Chelsea want to give us a record fee for a keeper to make his exit more bearable for us then God bless them.
-
I doubt Barnes will ever be back here unless he's 35 and we're in the Championship tbh. I think with the current two options, I'd rather BEK be central and have Facundo cut in than visa versa. Facu is a better ball carrier and dribbler and I think Bilal is a better playmaker. I also think our right back options are better attackers than VK. Plus, like you say, should be slightly easier to find a quality right footed LW just by law of averages. Only way I'd swap it round and have BEK start at LW now is if Fatawu were fit. If Mavididi was in better form then I'd be after a 6 as the main priority, a proper all rounder, quality modern 6 that can both attack and defend. Unfortunately, he isn't.

That's a horrendous deal.

To be honest, I'd want to know why you were looking at Sky Football's Twitter account whilst you were performing life saving CPR on someone. I hope you're never the one thing standing between me and the abyss. Your one year old daughter would be more reliable.
-
I have zero issue with developing VK as our starting left back and letting him grow and improve - if he's got a proper LW in front of him. If we're persisting with this notion of him being the main attacking width on the left whilst someone (BEK) in front of him cuts in to join the 'box', I don't think he'll ever be good enough personally. To the extent I think it's an unfair ask, I just don't think it's the best use of his strengths.

I'm a bit surprised he doesn't to be honest. -
We NEED another attacking option behind Vardy. BEK can cover CAM or LW, Facundo can cover CAM or RW but we don't really have a third option up to their quality. Mavididi isn't really delivering, Fatawu is out very long term, Ayew and BDCR should only be considered cover. The biggest priority we have currently is bringing in an actual attacking wide forward / winger who is that as their main position. IF that player is a right sided player and BEK is going to keep cutting in off the left then our next biggest priority is an attacking left back. A lot of defending is about coaching, organisation and structure. I think we have the defensive players at the club for Ruud to coach a team that can stay in the league. But we are going to continue to struggle to score goals if we don't get a bit more quality and threat in the final third. Defenders and strikers would improve the squad - but a LB and "attacking midfielder" or just simply a great LW would drastically improve our 11 immediately. #comehomeHarvey

Obligatory: "can he defend?"

I don't even know where to begin with this.

This is a myth that annoys me as well. Our style didn't change, the opponent did. That's exactly the point. So called "Enzoball" was a lot more versatile than anyone gave it credit for. We were always set up to counter attack, we scored some blistering counters all season against all sorts of teams. It's just most teams all season parked the bus against us so we didn't really have much choice but to play patiently. The whole point of Hermansen and Vestergaard messing around at the back was to try and draw teams out to come and press us so we could break on them. Our approach didn't change against Southampton, we just came up against a team willing to come to us. We were just a lot better.

Like him or not, Madders is one of the best free kick takers in recent Premier League history. Why the **** would you have Pedro Porro taking them ahead of him.
-
I really hate the lazy comparisons to Southampton. We put nine goals past them last season. Martin is a clown, Enzo is a genuinely elite manager.

Postecoglu looks like 20 years older than when he started at spurs

Now THAT is Spursy

If we stay up and he does one more year, he'll definitely do it. It would be a big ask to do it this year. Not impossible but still.

I really desperately wish he was good enough for this level. He's so likeable, he works so hard, great attitude and aggression. Like a mini Vardy at times. He just doesn't have the quality for this level. When he finally finds himself at a League One / Championship club getting regular football he'll grow in to an excellent lower league player.
