Nice work and shot by Yunus on the right.
-
Winks got the ball on the left flank, turned to go forward, then seemingly thought "what the hell am I doing way out here?" and passed the ball backwards.
-
I really do want to see the heat map of where Vestergaard and Souttar are playing, after the match.
-
Seeing how far forward our defensive backs are pushing up, it seems almost insane to me. Until I think about the fact that it is completely working. Love Marescaball.
-
Wow, Vestergaard broke into a sprint there! He is certainly growing on me, quickly. And to think I called him Lurch. My apologies.
-
At least Stoke are willing to come out of their own half. They are even occasionally (infrequently) pressing for turnovers in Leicester's half.
-
Like the announcer was discussing -- it would be nice to get a first-half goal.

Regarding Faes not starting. Last I knew he was a part of the Belgian national team. Possibly Enzo is giving him a rest today with the thought that Faes will log some significant playing time over the next two weeks.
-
For viewers in the US: The match will not be carried by ESPN+. Recommend FoxesHub on lcfc.com. £10 for the single-match pass. Or, a dodgy stream from Morocco with announcers speaking Arabic :).

I freely admit I do not know much about how the finances for major football clubs work, except that you need to have more income than outgo. But I do have one general and a few more specific questions about the club's finances. First, the general question: Is the club ok, financially? I've read about and watched so many stories of football clubs falling into financial difficulties, with some leading to dissolution of the club. Of course I don't particularly fear any such situation for LCFC, but my general question still stands. I do know a few things. The club was paid £111 million by the EPL after last season despite being relegated. The club was paid approximately £80 million for Barnes and Maddison. The club did not pay any huge fees for the new players last summer. More specific questions: Does the club's income match or exceed the outgo? I suspect the answer is no, being in the Championship, after all. Can the club survive, financially, if we don't gain promotion? I assume there would have to be significant belt-tightening in this scenario. Is the stadium expansion on hold, or proceeding? To my mind, it would seem prudent to put the expansion on hold until we gain promotion. Thanks in advance to any and all who choose to participate in this thread.

Excellent signing, isn't he? From the Seagrave Foxes, if my memory serves...

Foxes Hub – The Place To Watch Leicester City Live!

I get this often. Logging out and back in seems to work for me. Also, it is useful to have multiple web browsers installed. One match day Chrome got badly wedged with the lcfc.com website and absolutely would not play the FoxesHub video (probably some cookie-related f***ery), but an alternate browser (Vivaldi, IIRC) worked perfectly fine. I have the following web browsers installed: Avast, Brave, Vivaldi, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera. Oh yeah, and Edge by default. -
Leicester City 3-0 Preston North End - Post Match Thread

Just a couple of additional points on our manager. It appears to me that Enzo is tops at diagnosing what needs to be changed at halftime. Sometimes it is a strategy adjustment that needs to be clearly explained to the squad. Sometimes it is personnel changes. Sometimes it is as simple as giving the players the speech they need to hear (bollocking or encouragement). And sometimes a mix of all three! In most matches we have come out and performed noticeably better in the second half. Also, Enzo's subs are most often exactly what is needed to positively affect the match. I do quite like the man thus far. -

Lovely, lovely football. I can't really think of a player that I would seriously criticize in this match! Everyone contributed, and played well. Glad we stayed patient and kept probing their stacked defense. 27 out of 30 possible points! Enzo is brilliant. Up the Foxes! -
What a sequence of passes (plus a lucky rebound) for another KDH goal!
-
Welcome Kevin and Cesare!
-
Actually, yes -- I think my brain just doesn't expect to see Wilf that deep into the box, providing assists from 10 yards out.
-
Hahaha! Pretty sad commentary on my ability to recognize players. I've failed to recognize Wilf a few times this season.
-
Can someone please tell me who got the assist for Kel's goal? I apparently don't know all the faces well enough yet.
-
Our pressing in the final third when Preston are trying to pass the ball forward is pretty damn good.
-
As many predicted, we are up against the parked bus defense. Just need a lockpick for the door of the bus.
-
For the Yanks -- this match is not on the ESPN+ schedule. For all -- the FoxesHub portion of the lcfc.com website claims the match is available in the UK and globally. FoxesHub video cost -- £10 per match, £25 per month, £170 per season (the £140 price was an early-season discount price that is no longer available).
-
Lovely, lovely work overall. You may have quibbles about specific details of our play in this match, but I think the 1-4 final score pretty much says it all. Onward and upward!

Just because of where I live, this is a 5am start for me. Ugh. The rested players we can bring back in as starters will be a huge plus. I actually don't know much about Blackburn this season. I think we will win, but it may be tight. Mostly I wanted to whinge about the 5am start. And I get the match on ESPN+, so I don' have to hope that FoxesHub works this week.

Two thoroughly impressive goals to make it 3-1.
