  1. Go wide Stephy, don't run into the defenders path ffs
  2. ah bloody hell Mav that would've been a great chance for 2-0
  3. Liverpool usually get a dodgy decision against us of some kind at their place don't they? Can't wait to see what they get tonight
  4. Seemingly still gotta pay for us Nyoni yet!
  5. Definitely sounds like he shouts keepers
  6. Even if his final seasons in charge of Rochdale and Man City under 21s were poor, looks like he did very very well in the 2 seasons prior in charge of each of them as well https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leicester-city-set-add-enzo-9818400 Ruud van Nistelrooy is on course to add to his Leicester City coaching staff with former Manchester City Under-21s boss Brian Barry-Murphy set to join. Van Nistelrooy has said Barry-Murphy will arrive as “assistant coach” and will be the second new staff member to follow the Dutchman to City. The manager brought his Manchester United colleague Jelle ten Rouwelaar with him as assistant/goalkeeping coach. Barry-Murphy comes in after three years with Man City’s development squad. He was Enzo Maresca’s successor there and followed up the Italian’s title in 2021 with two more in 2022 and 2023. Last season, in Premier League 2’s new format, they finished 23rd in the 26-team table. Prior to that, Barry-Murphy was manager of Rochdale. Two seasons running, he guided them to safety in League One, but they were relegated in his final year in charge. As a player, the Irishman was a defensive midfielder, his clubs including Preston, Sheffield Wednesday and Bury. Van Nistelrooy said at his press conference on Tuesday: “It’s not official yet, but it’s 99.9 per cent done on the contract. I’m very happy to add him to the coaching team. “It’s a very important factor in the translation of the game model to the pitch and developing the team, the units and the individual, to the max. He’s excellent at that, so I’m very happy we can add him to the team.” When van Nistelrooy arrived, he retained three members of Steve Cooper’s coaching staff. They are first-team coach Ben Dawson, set-piece coach Andy Hughes and goalkeeper coach Danny Alcock.
  7. Stolarczyk is fit and available Absolutely zero reason for him to play Ward
  8. Ruud Van Nistelrooy Pre-Match Press Conference vs Liverpool How squad doing after Wolves? “The squad is good, they’re fine. We know what position we’re in. The results from the four games, there are some positives. The last two are losses but we look at the bigger picture and we look ahead. We know it’s going to be a long season where we’re fighting until the end to show we deserve to play in this league.” Liverpool? “We prepare every game to get a result. That won’t change. We know where we are compared to Liverpool, we have to be realistic and be aware of what we’re capable of, when we’re creating a gameplan. It’s important to go for our maximum performance but perform within our capabilities.” Ward? “What happened during the game, it was a tough one, because you feel for a team-mate. It’s support for him and being there for him, and staying together. We need to perform in a way that gives fans something to cheer.” Goalkeeper injuries? “We’re assessing every day with Mads. Jakub is back and is fit and is available. We’ll make decisions.” Justin? “He’s a great professional with good qualities. He’s played some excellent games. I’m not worried about him. We all go through different spells of form, where the crowd starts to react towards you. It’s our job to deal with it with performances.” Mistakes? “The incidents that happened on conceding three goals, that is the evaluation for me and my team. It’s not a structural thing, we didn’t concede because the tactical set-up wasn’t right. It was three individual incidents where you can all see what happened. If you take those out, it sounds silly, but it was a decent performance. It hurts more that we lost a game like that.” View of the task at hand changed? “No, not at all. If you evaluate on a weekly basis into a drama or into a success, that is not the way to work as professionals. The media and fans will react like that, but we know we’re in it for the long run and we know the end of the season is the finish line. That is the bigger picture for me. I’m not going to create a drama every week. I’m not going to celebrate every week.” Mads? “It’s about his development and how he improves. We want him fit. But you can’t rush these things. We’ll see when he’s 100 per cent.” Any fresh injuries? “We have to address Jamie. He picked up some knocks. We have to see if he’s ready on Thursday. I don’t want to share on personal medical updates on players. Hopefully we will be fine, but if not, it will be short term.” Work this week? “The back-line had one of their best games, in terms of the number of chances they had and the number of box entries, they were season bests. We have to stop the individual mistakes.” How to stop mistakes? “It’s confidence, it’s trust, and with good preparation the confidence will rise.” Liverpool? “It’s clear who the dominant force are in this game. I know how Arne wants to make his teams play. He’s got it right straight away. They are the dominant force also in the Champions League. The streak is remarkable. We have to be very compact, we have to be ready to know what we’re facing. We have to be ready to play too. It will be a great task but it’s a great chance to develop in all areas in the game, and that will help us towards the finish line.”
  9. Anyone know any good places for people who are gluten free? Looking for somewhere new to try before the Man City game
  10. Pretty sure it has been reported by at least a couple of places that we are expected to be fine for 23/24 because of the money from Barnes, Castagne, KDH, Enzo and his staff
  11. Disappointing to see from a few in the media that the biggest issue with Ward yesterday is that he was booed and not that he was actually being played again after the relegation season
  12. The only way I can see us getting any change in the big roles below Top is if King Power sells Seemingly they all got away with it after the 22/23 relegation, and I have no reason to believe any of them would be found liable and lose their jobs if it happens again this season
  13. But he seemingly hasn't even done that
  14. This just tells me he had done absolutely zero research on the club or the players before getting the job and none since he got it You would think managers would want to know if the fans have serious issues with certain players
  15. Was Ruud asked why he has given probably our best player this season less than 40 minutes of football in the last 2 games?
  16. 1 and a half games of football and he is a defensive midfielder who hasn’t won a single tackle.
  17. Was 07/08 the last time we had 3 permanent managers in 1 season? I honestly could see it going that way this season…
  18. Left on 80, probably would’ve left A LOT earlier than that if I had driven to the game myself
  19. Definitely didn’t come back out for the 2nd half
  20. Soumare as our number 10 lmao
  21. Ruud hates Facundo
