  1. Was such an obvious deal to do Going to be the kind of player where if we do go up and then go for him he is going to be a record sale for QPR I just have to assume that PSR-wise we had no choice but to spend nothing on transfer fees
  2. Its annoying that after just 7 league games into the season I am already starting to feel like I can't be arsed and not looking forward to going Watching pathetic players play spineless football... Sort it out Martí
  3. Enzo and Cooper used him in the most suitable way at the time for both the club and the player to develop him and in my opinion cannot be classed as "not fancying him" They were actively trying to improve him Martí isn't using him or doing what is best for his development which is actually "not fancying him"
  4. Only if you can’t read I suppose
  5. We need to hope they realise they are being stupid rather than hoping two players who have played plenty together are suddenly somehow going to vastly improve and stop doing the stupid stuff they have been doing for years Giving Nelson a go is the good answer
  6. Can definitely see Enzo being gone soon
  7. Looks like even despite a 6.3 on WhoScored that Braybrooke did actually have a pretty good game He got a 7.0 on FotMob and 7.1 on SofaScore Seen some Newport fans saying he was very good as well Hopefully he keeps up the good personal performances and when his loan ends in January we can get him into League One
  8. Todays Results - Satuday 27th September League Two: Sammy Braybrooke (6.3 - 90 mins) - Newport County 1-4 Chesterfield Nathan Opoku (6.0 - 61 mins) - Newport County 1-4 Chesterfield Jayden Joseph (6.3 - 45 mins) - Tranmere Rovers 0-0 Cambridge United Tom Wilson-Brown (6.1 - 18 mins) - Swindon Town 2-0 Bromley Scottish Prem: Henry Cartwright (5.4 + 1 error leading to goal - 45 mins) - Falkirk 0-3 Hearts
  9. I hope so
  10. Braybrooke and Opoku starting for Newport vs Chesterfield Joseph starting for Tranmere vs Cambridge Wilson-Brown on the bench for Swindon vs Bromley Cartwright starting for Falkirk vs Hearts
  11. *Middlesbrough
  12. Our 3 other centre backs can get away with making mistake after mistake in multiple games but Nelson has a bad 45 minutes (and was good in the 2nd half) in his only appearance of the season and thats it, bombed down the pecking order and seemingly very unlikely to get another chance this side of January unless Martí makes a very big decision on his choices 1 chance is all you are getting and you fvcked it mate, see in the FA Cup 3rd round in January (if he hasn’t dropped further with Souttar back by then) Absolutely ridiculous if that is all the opportunity he is going to get and people actually defend it as being reasonable when you see the other shite our other centre backs serve up on a regular basis and can get away with it
  13. Well at least we will finish the weekend in the playoffs…
  14. I really don’t think it is a case of consecutive managers not fancying him Under Enzo he was still only 18/19, our defence was doing well and he still got a bit of involvement - he maybe could’ve played a bit more but he was still young with only a couple of “meh” loans under his belt Under Cooper he probably wasn’t quite ready yet for the Prem and a loan was the correct decision and he had a very good loan at Oxford showing he is more than good enough at this level This is the first season where he should be getting proper game time and the manager isn’t giving him any at all so far
  15. The only position he should ever be an option for us this season is behind the striker He has no pace or ability to go past players to play as a winger, we would just end up seeing a lot more of his "winning" free kicks and we would have zero threat down the left because Thomas doesn't overlap, and he always drops way too deep to play as a striker Kick him off set pieces as well ffs
  16. Martí Cifuentes Post Match Cifuentes on the game MC: “It’s always great to get a late goal. I’m happy for Bobby and to be able to celebrate with our fans at the end, it was important emotionally. “It was definitely not the result we wanted. We played against a good team that defended deep and defended well. “It was disappointing to concede this early goal. We started the game really well. It was a strong first half, having control, getting into the last third, perhaps we missed a little in the last third to create more open chances, but I felt the team was growing in the first half. “Unfortunately through the minutes we started to get more emotional and we had some turnovers around minute 70/75 and we started to be more up and down. “We had to chase a result and they got these two situations after the free-kick and on the counter. It feels like we lost a little bit there. “I value the personality of the players to get through the emotions of the game at least to get an important point.” Fourth time in seven games City have been trailing at half-time? MC: “It’s difficult for me to remember other chances than the goal West Brom scored in the first half. For many minutes we were quite good. “So it’s definitely disappointing to concede in a situation where we were trying to pressing high. We should have controlled that better. “But football, like life, is about challenges and getting through these difficult periods, these ups and downs, and when I look back at these games and since I’ve been here, what I value most, because I know we will grow in the way we are playing, it’s the personality and the character the team is showing. It’s not easy to go through all these emotions again and again, and have the energy and the capacity to get something positive from those games.” De Cordova-Reid impact? MC: “He should be disappointed if it’s an own goal! Bobby has shown a lot of good things. He can play in many different positions. It’s important for him to get this goal in terms of confidence. "What I value the fact that players from the bench are adding positive things. It was good to see Victor coming back after a long absence. Everybody is having their moment and helping the team. I’m sure it will be the case on Tuesday. We have a quick turnaround and the fact we have a strong squad will be very important.” Did you get a yellow card? MC: “Hopefully not! Someone on the bench got a yellow card, but I don’t know what happened.” It's since been confirmed that it was Hamza Choudhury who received a yellow.

  21. Get Carranza on at half time please Martí
  22. Need to drop James into a 3 with Winks and Soumare He is seeing none of the ball
  23. #FreeNelson
  24. Did we genuinely just play him in a few games to get him to sign a pro deal and then boot him to the bottom of the squad pecking order?
  25. Wouldn’t surprise me if his opportunities are even more limited once Souttar is back as well
