Problem is there that there is no chance that we’ll get at them from the off, based on what we’ve seen of Cooperball. -

With Cooper in charge we will never see both Mav and Fats starting games. So frustrating. -
LCFC 2-4 Arsenal - Post Match Thread

PL experience to see out the game…. Ending up with a front 3 of those 2 plus a knackered 37 year old, really??! Surely we needed to get some pace on to give us an outball and at least make them think twice about throwing everyone forward? -

Totally outclassed. This lopsided formation of Cooper’s is just not working. We have no RW when attacking and no RB if we lose the ball. Just madness. -
Lol! So we’d have him starting otherwise. He’ll be the first change today of course.
-
Even when Cooper makes an attacking choice it’s not the right one eg BEK over Facundo last week (when throwing in the former in a huge game always seemed the wrong call, as it proved to be) and now Facundo over Abdul, when surely raw pace is what we need to try to do Arsenal on the counter.
-
If true, I like the intent but I’d rather see Abdul on the RW as I think we need raw pace on both flanks to hit them on the break, which is our only chance to threaten their goal.
-
No idea why everyone is so negative on here. It’s not as if we are going to a ground where we’ve only won once in 52 years (during Covid when there were no fans at the game), under the management of a man who has won 1 of his last 19 PL games. Oh……
-
No point getting excited over this one, he'll be off as soon as he hits 16 by the sounds of it.
-
Not looking forward to this at all. Sport only works as a concept when there is a genuine prospect of any result at the end of the day. In this game the most we can hope for is not being totally embarrassed. Let's hope we improve on the 0.02 xG that we managed against these on the last occasion we met them under Rodgers. But I'm not confident that we will, given the way Cooper will set up.
-
Even Cooper must now realise that Coady is a cheerleader, rather than a viable option to play in the PL.
-
And a number of kick offs, no doubt....
-
This lopsided formation with no winger on one side is just not working. How can Cooper not see it?
-
Embarrassing.
-
This nonsense tactic of having 1 winger tucked in is preventing us from stretching the play and limiting our attacking options. We just look unbalanced and easy to defend against. It reminds me of the relegation season where we had no right winger so we played Maddison tucked in from the right and it never really worked.
-
I think even if we lose tonight he'll get Arsenal and Bournemouth. If things go badly in those 2 (likely on the basis of what we're seeing), the board will then act during the international break, I suspect.
-
My God, that was terrible. Can we just take pens now to avoid having to watch another 45 minutes?
-
Don't blame him, if so.
-
He clearly sees Fatawu as a left winger as he described it as a like for like change when he brought him on for Stephy on Saturday. Yet again not happy with his team selection. Why Reid instead of BEK or Alves in the 10? Why Fatawu out of position? Why Soumaré full stop? Why ostracise Vesty when we only have 4 senior CBs and Coady has been useless for us, including in the Champo? Why Ward ahead of Iversen?
-
I assume Ipswich are the only team below us for xG, shots and touches in the attacking third and penalty area - and they have played both Liverpool and Man CIty in their first 5 games so their stats would have been skewed significantly by that.
-
Hard to believe that we are dead last for carries into the box when we have started either BDCR or Ayew in every game so far.
-
Imagine how “adventurous” Cooper will be in this one!!! I’m expecting something horrific like: Mads Justin Faes Coady Okoli VK Winks Skipp Ndidi Reid Ayew
-
Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

On the ball I didn’t think he was bad yesterday but he was so far tucked inside that it gave Young a free pass for the whole game, which is 100% on Cooper. In games like yesterday’s , I think he might be more useful as a central striker with 2 flyers either side of him, as he can hold up and lay off the ball effectively. He obviously won’t score many goals, though. -
This 1000%. It was driving me mad at the stadium. How could a professional manager not see this? Even when Fatawu came on, he was put on the left. Just utterly bizarre.
-
I've never minded he's ex-Forest, but I have minded that he is their cast off. How can a manager deemed not good enough for them be did enough for us? Bobby Reid warming up on the pitch so assume he's coming on as the first sub. FFS.
