If they cannot put out a team against us and are subsequently sold, would the game be rearranged for later in the season ?? im not sure other clubs pushing for promotion would be happy about us receiving a 3 point gift based on the fixture schedule. -

It’s about to rain for up to an hour maybe would have been best to just see out a big chunk of the day rather than swing and get out three days still to go! -

Glamorgan likely to win -
we’ve discussed this several times won’t happen

I stand corrected - He must have been used differently last season based on those numbers. Previous seasons were nothing like as prolific We can’t afford to sell skipp annd we can’t afford to have expensive players sat around. Unless we have a loan option planned for him.
-
Just seems a broadly similar player to skipp and winks why do we need another ? (Unless winks is off)

the guilty brother will go down (might only be for a year). Given it is a first offence he may have got away with a community order without the publicity and his not guilty plea. Bloke singular mac one of the brothers isn’t guilty of anything at this time Regarding the red mist policeman - if he’s not been involved in anything similar before then I’d accept it was an ill judged reaction in a highly stressful situation. If he’s got form then he should be disciplined
-
In this case the judge pointed out to the jury that the two hadn’t been involved with the police previously. He said it was up to them to assess whether that made it less likely that would be guilty. Given that the evidence was on video I found the comments bizarre. I wonder if judges have been told to say things like this to try and bring about not guilty verdicts, given the lack of space in our prisons. Maybe the thoughts of the DOJ is that someone who commits an isolated violent offence isn’t much of a risk and on balance doesn’t need to be put away. Wouldn’t sound like justice to me.
-
Well one brother has for now - perhaps it was thought a poor strategy if the they had entered different pleas
-
good assessment as you say, the charges relating to pc stampy are unproven (for now) I would expect that the cps will go for a retrial under pressure from the police and politicians. I think this would be the correct route forward. I also think that the prosecution would find it easier to get a guilty verdict on retrial (especially against the brother already convicted )
-
Must be getting close to a verdict on the manc airport trial jury unable to be unanimous so asksd to reach 10/2 by the judge the defence was basically self defence as they didn’t realise they were being challenged by police. If they get off then I’m concerned re precedence. Anyone involved in a scuffle can lump a copper and claim they didn’t realise. The videos I saw looked pretty solid for a guilty verdict. Whether one of the policemen needs to be disciplined is another matter. Surely that doesn’t affect the guilt/not of the defendants - isn’t it separate??

Bouba is into his last year and his salary will now be a reduced 50k. There is no financial benefit for him in not leaving (there was before ) we will be trying to move wilf on because he has value in his fee. The issue will be that his PL salary will be 80k and any club he goes to will want us to reduce the fee by the remaining contractual difference between what they are prepared to pay him and that amount. Wilf will be on approx 50k here if he stays for the championship. If he moves abroad then he can expect a similar salary. I just think he will decide that it’s time to move on.

Will do a job for us this season, especially when winks or skipp look like they’d struggle physically with the opposition in that cdm area (assuming we no longer have wilf and bouba )
