Do we really know all the details of rohl’s release clause ?

I thought they’d put all their eggs into potter’s basket and when that became complicated they dived for cooper - maybe they didn’t want to embark on corberan because he was already in a job and whilst he had a compensation clause it’s not always as simple as that. We appointed cooper 20 June. Ahead of pre season where we needed to spend money. The timing here likely shows we have little intention of spending in this window.

Can you show the stats for the previous full season ?

The players became v frustrated with results (poor personal discipline during and after games) but I didn’t see a lack of effort. true that he had a massive issue defending set plays but he felt that was due to losing his two best aerial CB’s. They also sacked their set piece coach. I don’t believe he’s a footballing ‘dinosaur’. he has tended to play quite narrowly as he likes players that cut inside off their wings (as we have done). With our squad in the championship he will no doubt allow the full backs to get forwards into the space vacated rather than sitting back. whilst I’d prefer rohl, I would rather O’Neil than wilder.

That’s undoubtedly true but would have taken time for them to have all found each other and they may well have remained quite fractured under different groupings concentrated on various issues.

Problem here looks like similar to last summer wanted potter on the cusp of getting potter became complicated and may have taken another week or two to sort decided we couldn’t wait and appointed cooper

Interesting point you make - Covid has certainly had an effect. Perhaps it brought a big chunk of like minded people together under one umbrella (mistrust of vaccines and govt).

After everything that kingy has done for us, some of you think that his reward should be to manage this club as his first step in management ???? Give the fella a break - he’s just making his way as a coach. Appointing him as our manager would be too much at this time. Saw some suggestions that we could get someone like Powell in to help him. But he’d still be the top man and the lightning rod. It’s a firm no from me. if rohl isn’t gettable then O’Neill or dyche will do. I doubt dyche would take what we want to pay.

The only opposition coach I’ve seen at the KP make a tactical substitution after 20 mins which made a difference and effectively won them the match. Not too big to admit he’s made a mistake and wait till half time. I like him and for a club in our position I reckon he’ll do well and the players will like him (especially the youngsters)

Why do people think Rohl would come here for 15/25k per week (his current salary). ?? If I was his agent and I knew we had saved an amount of comp then I’d be asking for half of that as a s/o fee he’d not come for less than 35/40k per week which is in line with a lot of our playing staff in the championship.

So there were reform councillors before in these positions ? Or are specific responsibilities allocated to certain council seats ?? just trying to understand the dynamics
