There’s nothing wrong with a digital ID if it has a very limited amount of info about you on it. If it’s a govt project then it will be hacked - companies have to take additional care with our data because they can be heavily fined for not having sufficient safeguards in place. Govt aren’t noted for this care and attention. the argument that we already have lots of things with our ID and photo on is fine if it becomes law to carry at least one of them with us at all times. perhaps govt are aware of the fact that out approach to this over the years has left us susceptible to bad actors taking advantage of this space.

He called trump on his mobile - can hear him speaking to him and evidently he’s effectively told ‘tough sh1t’. At the end of the video you hear macron asking if he can have five mins with trump ahead of his meeting with Qatar. Is that how random international diplomacy is ?

I saw a list of 28 which includes just under half of Arab countries with the remainder being Muslim majority nations. (And North Korea) occurred to me that we will soon reach the point where the same number of countries recognise both states. (28 v 36 ) as for our recognition just being symbolic, that’s true to a point but I believe that some laws now change (probably just technical ) as Palestine is now a ‘friendly nation’ plus as we’ve seen in the media, there is space for lawyers to try and make some dosh although I’d be shocked if they got anywhere given the UN involvement in post WWII events.

Is it hypocrisy for many countries that don’t recognise isr to demand that western countries recognise Paletine ?? if so, why don’t we ask that they reciprocate ??

Hong Kong - maybe a ferry across to discovery bay if the hurly burly of the city is getting too much ! If you like a flutter then either sha tin on a Sunday or happy valley on a Wednesday evening is a great experience I loved spending a few days in HK. my only experience in Guangzhou was a dodgy duck foot served at a factory which gave my colleague a very uncomfortable flight back (and the people sitting near him 😄)

They don’t ‘believe’ in experts - that’s the whole point of the movement
