Winks had a good ball out to Fats and tries to find Caranza. Crazy play. -

It seems like we are intent on trying to play Caranza in for a goal. -

There's the annoying side of Fats. A simple ball to rico and he doesn't do it. -

Marti Cifuentes - Style of Play, Tactics and Analysis
Clever Fox replied to StriderHiryu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Have to disagree, I think he wins a lot of headers in challenges, Caranza hasn't shown anything that makes his selection any more than others in the squad. We've no out ball or focal point. That's our first problem, With someone up there challenging defenders we might create something. Do I think it's perfect, No. But we have to try something different, Marti can only pick from what he has available and the options are poor. We've been rumbled and Marti has to change things around otherwise we'll continue to drop points. -

We need a focal point so It's worth a try. We know he'll win headers and even that would be an improvement at the minute. He's not bad with the Ball at his feet either. Let's face it we wouldn't be breaking new ground. Walshy, Elliott, Huth, Armstrong. etc. Obviously we need a big CF but until we sign someone he's an option, AS we have plenty of CBs to play at the back. -

I thought Faes done much better when he came on as a sub. I' mean he didn't concede a goal for a start. But seriously, He won a few headers made a few passes and created the chance for Caranza for the overhead kick. When nothing else is working up top what have we got to lose by giving him a run up there. He'll muscle a few defenders and maybe create something for somone else to score. What I don't want to see is Marti playing the same players, trying to do the same things again ,when it hasn't worked all season. -
Brendan Rodgers Resigns from Celtic
Clever Fox replied to Clever Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
Here's a good read on relations between DD and Rogers, Copied from the above site. "Every player signed and every player sold during his tenure was done so with Brendan’s full knowledge, approval, and endorsement. Any insinuation otherwise is absolutely false. His later public statements about transfers and club operations came entirely out of the blue. At no point prior to those remarks had he raised any such concerns with me, Michael, or any member of the Board or executive team. In reality, he was given final say over all football matters and was consistently backed in the recruitment process — including record investment in players he personally identified and approved." Over the last several months we've all had to speculate about the extent of BR's involvement in player acquisitions. BR has strongly implied that a number of players signed by Celtic were foisted onto him. I will be very interested to see whether BR challenges that version of events. If BR does in due course challenge that version of events then he must also challenge Desmond's contention that : “When his comments were made publicly, I sought to address them directly. Brendan and I met for over three hours at his home in Scotland to discuss the issue. Despite ample opportunity, he was unable to identify a single instance where the club had obstructed or failed to support him. The facts did not match his public narrative." A number of posters are leaping to BR's defence, however, I think it is better to wait and see how he responds to Desmond's Statement. -

A very intetesting read on that site. It seems they have many fans who don't like the Owners either, Which I find strange considering the success they've had since his takeover. -

Surely this game is a must win now for Marti to survive. He should change things up and go more direct. He also needs to get the players passing more in forward positions instead of always trying to beat a man. -

Not only deep pockets but very well connected. He's actually a very nice individual. -
Brendan Rogers has resigned from Celtic tonight with Martin O Neill and Shaun Maloney taking over at Celtic. Could he return here . ? Just asking.
-
I've advocated this for a long time. Small saleries with big bonuses for results is the way to go.
-
He may be playing but he's not delivering. While we can't be too critical of a 16 year old, he has to learn that it's a team game and he doesn't always have to beat a man. We seen it today and in other games where he has a chance to play it inside and go down the line for the return and doesn't. Which achives exactly what he's trying to do in getting in behind the FB. Instead of getting kicked pushed or losing the Ball. Now just to be clear, He's not the only one doing the same. We've seen it from Fats, Mav and Ayew. Holding the ball to long and losing it. That's mainly down to the Manager.

We're are being outplayed all over the pitch. Sort it out Marti.

Lets hope you're right.

Millwall (A) 15:00 Sat 25th, Pre-Match
Clever Fox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Marti has a choice to make, Many of these players are going to get him sacked yet he keeps playing them. I'd get Ricardo into midfield along with Winks and James in a 3. It will give us more ball control in midfield and draw players onto us creating space for us to attack. Bur we've also got to be more incisive with the Ball. Ball possession only works by moving the opposition around or creating chances. -
He needs to get rid of the ball quicker, especially when he draws a few op players towards him. Also, Why do we never switch him to the left, Especially early in games to confuse the opposition. As the opposition always double up on him on the right from the start of games.
-
There's something that stinks and not right about his signing. If we have that behind the scenes then we're in big trouble.

Not disagreeing, And yet it was our most experienced player Ricardo, who was at fault for the Goal. Ricardo chasing forward vacating his Fullback duties when we were winning the game. Thomas also should have shown the scorer wide instead of letting him cut back inside to score. -

He looks a little lost for someone who is supposed to be a Striker. -
He'll probably put out the same team expecting them to redeem themselves.
