It's in Football insider247.com Today Everton have identified a “ready-made” replacement for Jarrad Branthwaite ahead of the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider. Branthwaite, 21, is the subject of strong interest from Premier League clubs ahead of the off-season. But Football Insider revealed on Monday (11 March) that Everton are very keen on 23-year-old Hull City defender Jacob Greaves. The 23-year-old has impressed for the Tigers in the Championship this season and has helped them become contenders to seal a playoff place. It is believed that Everton chiefs feel Greaves is a natural replacement for Branthwaite in the heart of the Goodison Park defence. Hull City star Greaves is ‘ready-made’ Branthwaite replacement at Everton Tottenham have also been linked with the Hull star, but sources say their interest is nowhere near as strong following the January signing of Radu Dragusin from Genoa. A well-placed source has told Football Insider that a move to the top flight is likely for Greaves if Hull aren’t promoted this season – but Everton will need to remain in the division to seal a move. I hope he does and gets back to his best. I've seen some very good young players fall by the wayside from all kind of Social problems.

Honestly, I don't know the lad, but I've handled hundreds of young players over the years, And in my experience it's very often something outside of football that's going on which causes a drop-off in Form. I hope I'm wrong and he gets back to playing because the longer he's out the harder it becomes to get back.

He's still learning but he could have huge upside. He's already the top Championship GK. Top players from the Championship tend to go for 20to 30 million. Goalkeeping is such a specialist position he could command more. He's already proved he's right up todate for the modern game. If he stays and has another good season who knows but we could be talking 70 million to get him from us.

I'm not sure but given his performances after Ward wouldn't you be looking for an increase on your salary. Top up are not uncommon without changing the rest of the Contract.

Exactly, We all know we're more than generous when it comes to Salaries.

How quickly things change in Football. 2 year's ago he had one of the league's top scorer in his pocket. Now he's considered worthless. Again it doesn't reflect well on the Clubs player support personnel. Or there's something we're not been told about.

Iversen probably got a big Salary increase after his performances under Rogers which now makes him out of the reach of a lot of championship clubs. Surly he's worth 3 million even as a Premiership back up. Or a number 1 overseas.

Newcastle comes to mind as they've conceded some soft goals. Man City and Liverpool aside I could see any of the rest considering Mads. Given his age etc, He could command 40mil. Which might allow us to keep KDH next Season. I guess only Enzo knows what he wants for next season.

I wouldn't say we're looking to sell him as I feel he still has a lot of upside like KDH. As an Academy player it would be all profit so if the price were right he might be sold. He's also cheap to have around. someone the Manager likes and knows the Club. so anything is possible.

Greaves seems like a good shout but it may be too late if Spurs and Everton are chasing him.

I don't think so, I believe he playing for the under 18s when he got injured. But I don't know anything about the lad other than what I read on here. Regardless though because of the way his welfare was handled it seems another promising player walks away for nothing. That's not good for the Club going forward.

Thanks for that. I don't know what their qualifications are in this area, but in the case of the young player it seems they both fell below the standard required . And he's not the only player to comment on their treatment by the Club especially when injured. Some of the Senior players have mentioned similar.

You are totally wrong, The Club has every responsibility to look after and protect these young players. Even more so when they are stuck in accomodation on their own Day after Day recovering from injury. Do you have any idea what that does to ones Mental health. This is exactly why the Club should make sure that they learn another Skill because we know how how risky a career Football is.

That's my point, every player should receive full support from the Club. Even more so when they are injured, Over seas and away from their Family. These are essentially young vulnerable Children. As no one has answered my question I take it we don't have a Liaison Officer. Which reflects really badly on the Club.

Enzo is clearly a Manager who knows what he is doing. He also knows what is needed both behind the scenes and the players he wants to take us to the top. If the Club support him like they did Rogers until he f.u. then I can see us going places. Next season avoiding relegation is the Target, Anything else will be a bonus. If he stays in 2 to 3 years I can see us challenging at the top again with a new young team. But we all know a year is along time in football terms.

A good shout, I thought he done an excellent job for his first managerial appointment. Norwich don't have much money so he be a great choice. I always liked Norwich. Even more when Delia put all her money in to save them. I hope they do well next year.

Possibly, But he's a young player who obviously needed support as they all do. So why did he not get it. ? Or do we not have a Liaison officer for the young players. We as a Club have a huge responsibility in this area and should also be encouraging young players to take on other skills while pursuing their football career and dreams. But we all know they don't all make it as professional footballers.

Reflects badly on the Club. Do we not have a development liaison officer who keeps in touch with the young players, especially the injured ones.

They're looking at the whole game with the advantage of instant playback. I'd just like to see them correct a decision they see wrong. Like who the ball clearly came off for corners etc. If it's not clear just go with the referees decision.

In general I'd say 60 seconds is enough. The panel would be fairer but you would need more personnel. I'd just give each a buzzer to press on seeing it play back once. Otherwise you can get people changing their mind. That shouldn't take more than 60 seconds.

This is the whole point of Var the mistakes are catastrophic to some clubs like Forest who could be relegated over it or Wolves denied a draw recently over a poor decision. The likes of Corner kicks it's easy to see who the ball last touched. I don't like the idea of one man making the call either. A panel making a call on what they see first time in a playback. That takes no more than 60 seconds.

I hope it stays but it does need changing. It should include all errors like corner kicks etc.... The offside needs to be cleaned up also as it's causing too much confusion.
