  1. I hear what you are saying but they sold a few players recent including a CB to aresenal for 40 + million and they still haven't come back for him. Motto going to Juve might be the reason But Motto clearly doesn't want him at Juve either. He was another one of Rogers cock ups. I can't wait for season 25/26 until we get rid of all his rubbish signings.
  2. Well I was right again, That's our 3rd Manager and the Bologna Manager who refused to sign him who doesn't think Victor is good enough. Some of the Clowns on here trying to vilify me for stating what was obvious to me anyway. Though I do agree it is about opinions. I'm more than happy to go with JJ with the hope that we sign a quality LB either on loan or permanent before the Window closes. Thomas I feel a little sorry for because he showed great promise beofre his injury. He needs to play and so it's the best decision for all concerned that he goes and plays elsewhere.
  3. We've needed someone like this a few seasons now. So I will be delighted if we get him quickly.
  4. Yes, I think he'll do a decent job in difficult circumstances, Whether that's good enough or not remains to be seen. If he can keep us up that will be amazing given the quality of the squad he has to work with. Next season can be so much better if we can just stay up this season.
  5. You both could be right. I just think the Premiership could suit him better where he would'nt be up against tightly packed defenses and his tight control could work in our favour.
  6. It seems like they just want rid of him. He wasn't the worst siging we've made in recent seasons. He'd be a decent signing for little money this season, At least he knows the Club.
  7. Unless we make a few late signings this is what I think is the line up we'll go with. Okoli could be left out until he sees a Premership game or two as he's likely to be a risk not knowing the league. It's a pity about Vesty's pace as he'd be certainty to start. Hermansen Ricardo Coady Okoli Justin Winks Ndidi Fatawu Reid Mavididi Daka/Vardy
  8. I doubt he's on a big wedge which is probablt why he's attractive to us. We're really signing him for his potential a bit like Cannon. Lets hope he does better here with less competition and pressure on him. Could be a big payday if he makes the grade here eventually. But he's going to need games and time like Cannon. I'm not sure we have the lattitude for either this season. Oddly enough I think him and Cannon could make a good pairing down the line. We need a proven goal scorer right now to relieve the pressure on Vardy who clearly can't play every game.
  9. People shouldn't read too much into preseason games. They're for conditioning of players, getting them up to match fitness working on formations, Educating players on what's expected from them in their position with and without the Ball. To also try players out in different positions to see how they perform there. But also for players to develop an understanding of what the requirements in other positions are and develop a broader understanding of the game as a whole. I do believe Cooper is a good Coach but a few things worry me. 1. He want's even more players, when he should be saying I want a first team squad of 16 to 18. The rest are squad fillers. Here's a list of those who are surplus to requirements. Then use any income from there Sales to improve the quality of the squad further in the next Window. 2. Anytime I see him he standing with his hands in his pockets, Not a good look. I cant rever emember seeing O'Neill, Ranieri or Pearson do it. You can be close to players but they have to know who the Boss is and not just literally. Succesful teams usually have a settled 14 to 15 regulars which each one of them knowing whats expected of them when coming on to play. Yes if your the big Clubs challenging in Europe etc you may need a couple more players, But we're not challenging for anything more important than surival. To his credit he did get the better of the Forest sqaud and saved them from relegation. So anything is possible. Maresca's squad is still mainly intact and so all I feel was really needed was to replace KDH with a Quality midfielder and sign a quality Striker.Maybe a mobile CB. Then continue Enzo's work with a few tweaks where he see's the need too. Like going long sometimes when a pass is on. If only to keep the opposition from compressing us in our own box. He has a big 2 weeks coming up as I'd expect to see Players starting in their best positions and to see our Starting team against Spurs playing in the last Friendly against Lens. There's a lot to get right before kickoff and unlike Enzo he has had the time with the players to know his best team and formations etc. So no excuses. Lets hope he can work a similar kind of magic as Enzo and keep us up.
  10. Enzo used full backs just in a different manner that was part of the genius of the Man. As to pro football, I spent a lifetime in the game as a professional. Now your beginning to see the light. Why didn't he knuckle down and do what many others have done and proved the Manager wrong. He's not meant to be a supporter he's a Leicester player full stop, Of course he signed for money and career progression. Is that not what every player signs for. ? Yet, despite being a rookie he knew more than the Manager. You can only do that if you have the Talent to back it up and he hasn't shown us anything nearly good enough. On such decisions careers are made or lost. Ronaldo, Harry Kane, Vardy, KDH comes to mind. That's why you stay and prove people wrong. Or you wimp out which is what I believe he chose to do. I've seen all kinds of players ruin good careers for all kinds of reasons. Clearly no one else wants him so I hope he knuckles down work hard and shows what he's made off,. Though we'll have to wait and see how he progresses against two old timers in JJ and Ricky.
  11. He's supposed to be doing what's best for Leicester not himself, That's why we signed him. If you can't see that you know little about pro football.
  12. He did use full backs but played them in an advanced position to support attacks, But to also defend when out of possession and under pressure. Doyle, Ricky and JJ. He was part of the Denmark squad and we know how that turned out. Against better opposition he fail miserably. I could well be, But I'm yet to be convinced by him from what I've seen. I think he'll be found out quickly but we'll see.
  13. Yes, So were others in the squad but even so he was still overlooked as first choice. He came into our club with no pedigree in Football other than a modest club. Yet he proceeded to know more than the Manager, What does that tell you about his attitude. A Manger who has just won the Championship. Why didn't he accept instruction like Mads, Mav, Fats, Wilf, KDH etc. All players Enzo improved immensely. Rogers signed him but he wasn't to keen on him either after seeing him up close. Yes, he went to Bologna and done ok, He didn't play all games and Bologna clearly don't think him good enough to buy him for a modest sum. But we'll see as the how he develops under Cooper as the season develops.
  14. Cooper has'nt started him in our few friendlies and that usually tells you something, plus he was poor when he did come on against Palermo.
  15. So sad to hear this news, He was a great Coach and played such a vital part in our greatest ever victory. RIP.
  16. I agree with what you say, But Enzo was prepared to play Doyle and JJ there which is why Enzo wanted him to play the left side of a three. The rest we know, He chose to leave for Italy where he done ok.
  17. An awful lot more than he thinks he is. He couldn't hold down a place with Rogers or Maresca and I don't think Cooper fancy's him either.
  18. No, The problem is VK thinks he's nuch better than he is. He's not good enough unless he listens to the Coaches and learns from them.
  19. He has a look of Kante about him, He must be good.
  20. Something absurd like that is what's needed to expose the failures of those in charge of the league. I doubt we'll get our result before Man City which has been going on for ever. It's laughable that if you alledgly break 115 rules they take for ever to penalise them. That's where Forest and Everton went wrong, They should have refused to accept any findings until they decided on Man City.
  21. Doak is a Winger, So he won't be competing for the Midfield positions. I believe he can play on both Wings so I'd say it's to provide competition for Fats and Mav on the wings. Or maybe Cooper is going to move one of them inside to play as an 8 or 10. As he's been experimenting with them the few friendlies so far.
  22. Maybe they'll give us a discount, seeing as they rightly stiched us up with Ward
  23. Off course not, But we're not moving anyone out to make room for incomings either. Too big a squad is a recipe for problems no manager needs. We still have afew weeks to go so things might change quickly.
  24. I'm a bit worried now that we're signing players too many players maybe not fit for the premiership. When he was at Forest I thought it was the Owners throwing lots of players at him. Now I'm not so sure. I'd like to see us sign some real prem quality who can compete, Otherwise the senior players might throw in the Towel early. You can't keep 25 players happy if they're of the quality required. We should have a first team squad of 16 maybe 18 with the rest knowing they'll play only if we suffer injurues.
  25. Villareal must have no team left with everyone signing their players. Have they got anyone for us. ?
