  1. I would understand the comments if it was from 10 games ago but not after 16. It's the blinkered view from fans of a team who haven't cracked on, showed consistency and taken advantage of teams around them not performing. A lot seem to think they will smash us as we concede lots of goals/leaky defence/slow etc. A quick look at the table and results would show them that we have won 5 more games than them, only lost to Arsenal and beaten 5 of the teams they have drawn against. Whilst I don't think it's an easy game for either of us, I don't think we will get battered. I think John stones will have a tough time with Vardy and Leo/Shinji, he seems to forget the basics a lot of the time as he tries to play the ball out and go on runs.
  2. I don't understand his line "And with no-one grabbing the title race by the scruff of of the neck, it seems impossible to predict the unpredictable", what would you call how Leicester are playing and performing?
  3. I don't get the comments from pundits/fans who say we'll get found out or have been lucky and will dip. We've played 16 games it's not as if we have been scraping wins from set pieces and parking the bus. Full on attack in every game, scored in every game, only lost once, two of the top three scores in the league. It's the glory hunters and idiots who haven't witnesses their team do badly (Chelsea/Man city) or are still in denial that their team is a mess and living on past glories (Man Utd) Also I don't understand how it can be a bad thing for football and the Prem for smaller teams to get better and challenge. In any other walks of life people kick off when a handful of large companies dominate and bully but not when it comes to sport. Man City fans seem to forget that they are only where they are because of all the money they had pumped into them in the last few years, Man Utd and Chelsea the same. Arsenal (who I want to win if we slip up) have been building steadily and adding a big player a year rather unlike the other clubs who drop 30m+ on several at a time.
  4. I never comment on that page but had to leave a comment in a reply thread. The young Algerian lads who support only Barca/PSG/Real Madrid are all ignorant and couldn't care less about Leicester and just follow the glory, I don't even think its lost in translation they are entitled and rude. I suppose they are have no local teams to follow so can't be called glory supporters by friends and pick the best team and like the players based on FIFA UT ratings. The difference in the comments from the Algerians, who are nasty about the club and reply with ignorant comments back to our fans who pull them up on it, and the Thais who commented on the Thai king bike ride story is such a contrast. They praise the club, players and fans yet the Algerians slate the club, fans and only praise Mahrez. There is a trend in the comments to accuse of racism due to religion and being non white because Vardy won POTM. Shame they couldn't do some research and see that Andre Ayew won the award in the past who like Mahrez is (born and raised in France) African.
  5. I'll try to listen to this as the podcast later on. I love how they read out contradicting stories but don't pull each other up on the mistakes or lies.
  6. Who cares what Liverpool/United/Arsenal fans from Mexico and India have to say about our club on Reddit. I find it amazing the lack of knowledge by or research from people when they type on the internet, as if a quick google before they post is too much effort. It was bad enough on Sunday Supplement on Sky this Sunday when they were talking about Vardy. It amazes me the lack of research for people with such a wide voice. They said we could lose Vardy as he is out of contract in the summer ad also be hard to keep as clubs could come in and pay more than the 10/15k a year he would be on. These are the papers who reported him being o 40/50k when he was being fined wages.
  7. Exactly, I tried to listen to last weeks show as a podcast but got angry and switched it off. As it's a show comprised of journalists they have no one to pull them up on the lies they print. Last week they read four articles regarding Mourinho, each paper had a 'source' claiming a different amount of games he had to save his job. They weren't asked or questioned who is correct.
  8. Imagine being a Sunderland fan not having won a game after 8 and having to convince yourself that a team 12 points and 14 places above you, who battered you on the opening day and having only lost once so far having taken 11 points from the teams you have taken 2 from, yet we are in a false position and they aren't. I really wish I had that arrogance, confidence and ego when it comes to life.
  9. The Sunderland fans on that forum are something else. Classic deflection tactics to distract from living in the armpit of England and have no steel plants to picket anymore. With idiots like that it's no wonder regional downsizing and outsourcing exists. I know it's reacting to a WUM post but i'm not sure if they have looked at the table. Some of the comments are just silly. We have some of the lowest attendances in the league? Our ground is always sold out, we would have a higher attendance if we had a bigger ground. They try to spin it as if we have an empty ground, just like theirs after half time. We are a team riding on confidence? At what point does playing with confidence coexist with having the ability as I think that's where we are at. Vardy will struggle to get 12, he's scored 1 less than their whole team. Our goals will dry up? We have 7 different scorers. Lets see if they can turn draws into wins. Lets see if Sunderland can turn losses into draws. We've played 5 of the same teams, drawn the games they lost and won the games they drew.
  10. It seems as if he's basing his knowledge on the Fifa Ultimate team ratings where our defence is really slow but it reality they are (almost) always in the right place at the right time.
  11. I love The League. Rafi and Dirty Randy are great. If you like The League, Always Sunny or Community I think you will like Workaholics. I've just watched the first two episode of Ballers, really good and guessing it will get even better. There was a stylish drama/comedy from HBO a few years back called How to make it in America, really underrated.
  12. Vikings is brilliant, great action scenes and story, way better than GOT, also it's always good to see my God's represented on television.
  13. There are a few interesting posts going on at the same time. Re Sunderland. You have to feel sorry for Sunderland fans, they hate us cus they aint us (The Interview). We may constantly get written off but City turn things around and show what they are made of and the media/fans take notice, Sunderland constantly live up to what is expected of them. I would be bitter if I lived in the armpit of England with no industry, living in the shadow of the more stylish and cultured city of Newcastle knowing that the only jobs are data entry government roles which are always first to be outsourced. I can honestly say I have never met a Sunderland fan. Re Mahrez. It's strange reading these type of reports, much like the end of the season reports, as they aren't telling us anything that we don't already know but it's nice that others are catching up. Re The mirror reporter. The problem with pundits giving their predictions is that they aren't held accountable when they go horribly wrong but when it goes right they claim to be a fountain of knowledge. I listen to a lot of football podcast, professional ones not fan casts and it is amazing how little people know about teams other than the top 5. The Guardian football weekly was my favourite until City got into the Prem.
  14. I enjoyed the 2nd season of True Detective but you have to put the 1st season out of your mind. There were a lot of problems with the story being too complicated but still enjoyable enough. This is on my list along with Wayward Pines. I prefer the Nordic drams like The Killing, The Bridge, Arne Dahl, Wallander, 1864 and Those Who Kill. The French dramas Braquo and Spiral are great. Has anyone been watching Odyssey on BBC 2? Really good pacing and mix of action and story telling. It's not Homeland but will fill a gap. Comedy wise I really like Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Silicon Valley, Happy Endings, New Girl and Mindy Project. My favourite program is Vikings, it's on Amazon Prime. As much as I love Game of Thrones I prefer Vikings but that's due to my interest in my people.
  15. Copenhagen is my favourite place in the world, have you been before? I went to Stockholm this summer which was great but I still prefer Copenhagen. The beer is expensive but it depends what kind of holiday you want, these aren't countries you visit on a budget. I've been to Copenhagen in Sept and Dec, it's cold in Dec so you'll need to wrap up warm but you won't really notice it.
  16. Just like the Guardian experts on the football weekly podcast. You would think that they could at least watch match of the day to see how all teams are doing. As always they talk about us for less than a minute, make a joke which isn't funny and spend time on that for 10 minutes, then say they have to move on. They spend too much time on Arsenal or teams that the other presenters support I used to really Like James Richardson but realise he is only an expert 4 teams, Arsenal, Bayen, AC & Inter Milan.
  17. Did CR change winning teams into losing teams? Pearson took a long time losing then many tinkers and more losses to get a winning team. You seem to be really angry and bitter towards CR regarding something he hasn't even done yet. I liked Pearson a lot and defended his actions to friends every monday morning when he was the manager of our club. Now he's gone it's ok to say that he was a bit of a helmet who got a lot of things wrong as much as right.
  18. The Guardian never give us any time or credit as there isn't a fan of the club on their writing staff/podcast. I like the podcast but they have no knowledge about teams below Spurs. When we romped the Championship they were down on us but pro QPR, last season wrote us off in March as already down but praising Villa and Sunderland. Also there is a article of fans opinion. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/01/premier-league-fans-verdicts-part-1-arsenal-to-manchester-unitedDoes the Leicester writer post on here? Reading his personal blog explains why the Guardian picks him and why I dislike, Owen Jones in the making.
  19. Like him or not Paul Merson was the only one that backed us.
  20. I listen to the Guardian football podcast and they never give us any credit, when they were talking about our performances would they just get sidetracked by whatever Pearson had said that week then move back to rimming Burnley and Arsenal, the same happened when we were dominating the championship, I don't see how they can think we'll come 19th, looking at their graph of the last 5 season we have climbed higher and higher every season.
  21. You have to admire their belief after two lucky wins and dismissing our run of 6 out of 7 wins. They had 2 pens against Soton, 2 wild deflections at Everton (one deflected towards Defoe's hand which came after the Everton payer was fouled) and they seem to think they have found their shooting boots. I can't wait for Vardy, Jeff and Mahrez to run at them. We haven't been spanked in the last 7 games let alone the season, why do teams we face think it's going to be them that hands it to us.
  22. Most of the QPR fans seem to think they will ship 3 past us, only Man Utd have done that. Both have scored the same but they have conceded 5 more than us. Regarding the betting site, my mate writes those style of pieces for BWIN. They are written to wind people up so that you bet or the neutral to boost their accumulator.
  23. I can't tell if the Man City fans are being ironic or are in complete denial regarding their spending, even though they have been used as the scapegoat for over spending in Europe. Man Utd fans are deluded as well as they are going to have to spend big to be a top 5 club again.
