He came through the youth system as a striker. He's played more as a 9 than in any other position. He played as a striker under our current manager. It's only in the last few years, he has been transitioned elsewhere. Not to say, he'll be a good signing. I've never seen him play so I don't know. I'm just saying that I don't think he falls into the category of "he can do a job as a striker". He IS a striker who has been moved out of position.

Can't add anything of value as far as his ability goes as I can't recall ever seeing him play however, there DOES seem to be a plan in terms of style of play. Cullen/Chaplin as false 9 type players who can play with or instead of each other and possibly Adebayo and maybe Otchere when an outright no.9 is needed with one of the previous two behind them. I think the 8's will be Page, Braybrooke, Neale and likely an experienced signing to come. Skipp/Choudhiry at 6.

As has Chaplin I believe which points to a false 9? With Adebayo and one of our youngsters as an option for outright striker?

I don't think that it's applicable in this case. Burnley argued that had the points deduction that Everton received been applied in the same season of the rule infringement then it would have changed the outcome of the season. Had we gotten our points deduction in the same season we broke the rules, we still would have finished above Leeds.

Possibly but the way I'm looking at it is yes, it COULD be worse than we have it now under KP but it could also be better. Sticking with what we have COULD also get worse but I don't see it ever getting better. Are they suddenly going to realise that the ability to run a football club was inside them all along like a Disney movie?

I'm trying to make sense of the timing... we get reports that KP are possibly interested in selling then a few hours later, we are told that they are in talks with a "middle Eastern firm". Is it a case of SSN taking the initial report and making an educated guess with the hope it appears they have inside knowledge OR they've been sitting on knowledge that would expose the source and when the first news broke, they showed their hand?

I hope there is something in this but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm oddly not bothered about ANYONE leaving. We all know the issues we've had at boardroom and manager level but the players played their part too. The workmate and running stats from last year showed them for what they are and the more of them that go, the more chance we have of changing the culture at the club.

IF he wants to go, I really don't care what we get for him. Obviously the club need to worry about that but I'm just sick of guys who don't want to be here poisoning the rest of the club and having to watch the result of it on the pitch every week. Not to say that I think he has a bad attitude but if he isn't committed, it shows.

Aren't the champiomships financial rules changing to the same system as L1 though?
