I don't think we need to worry about PSR losses now, do we? Ofcourse it isn't a viable way to run the club but we can no longer be punished for it. It's better to get the revenue in and wage off the books as that is what these new financial rules focus on as far as I'm aware...

Speculation is defined as "the act of forming a theory, idea or guess without having firm facts or evidence" Saying "Russell Martin is in advanced talks with Leicester City" isn't speculation. It's a statement. Whether it's true or not is yet to be seen but Percy has a reputation for being very accurate when it comes to us and you don't get a reputation like that by making definitive statements that he isn't sure of.
-
But we know fine well that Percy doesn't say "in advanced talks" if he doesn't believe it will be done. He's not one to speculate, he puts out things that he knows are likely to happen and he's rarely wrong because of that. That's why he isn't one to break stories reguarly because he has to wait for his sources to confirm, which they won't do until it's all but done.

We DO have a way with words.

Masterstroke by Top this. Give us the guy we DIDN'T want last summer AFTER he went to Rangers and cemented himself as their worst ever manager. Genius!
-
The price being mentioned is 10/15 so I imagine it will be 10 with 5 of add-ons.

Oh, please don't mistake me for a half glass full kind of guy. I'm in no way positive. We are in real trouble. I was just pointing out that the wage bill of other teams isn't really relevant to the mess we are in.
-
No, I'm not talking about signings. I'm talking about the current wage bill. The more we bring in from sales, the higher our wage bill is permitted to be and we will bring more in from sales than anyone else in the league by quite a bit so our wage bill can be quite a bit higher than everyone else. That was the point I was (badly) trying to make. Ofcourse, the question becomes, can we bring in enough from the sale of our high earners to cover the wages for whos left. That's what we need to be concerned about, not the average wage of the rest of the league like the poster I replied to suggested.

Selling Monga for £15m, El Khannouss (if we've not already borrowed against it) and whoever else we sell will generate more revenue than any of these teams can dream of so yes, we WILL have to cut or cloth to a degree but we are still not going to be in the same financial bracket as the majority of these other teams that pay the wages you just quoted.
-
How much we spend in on wages compared to other teams in the league is irrelevant. What matters is how much we spend in comparison to how much we generate. THAT'S what matters. Obviously it is still too high but what other teams pay there players has no relevance to that or our finances.

Why? The country is excited and high on what may seem to most like the meagre achievement of qualifying and being part of it but I personally feel like there's hardly any joy left in football. Its good to see some for a change.

The first Scotland game is a 2am one but thats the only one I'll be watching. The day after has been made a bank holiday.

Well..... THAT'S my new profile pic!

Top wouldn't be able to tell if they where a shyster or not given his close working relationship with Rudkin..
-
He won 1 game from 7 in the SPFL with the second biggest budget in the league leaving them sitting eighth. He was also fond of publicly blaming the players and not taking responsibility. He's probably the worst manager Rangers have ever had.
-
The big stat for me was 285 passes in 120 minutes of football. That's 2.3 passes per minute.
-
He wouldn't have made my starting 11 but it IS a massive blow. Do you know if people can still be called up to the squad? Lennon Miller surely has to be next in line.
-
Craig Gordon playing today who made his debut 3 years BEFORE Tyler Fletcher (who just made his debut) was born.

Crazy from Locadia. Sent off in the second last friendly before your countries first ever world cup game.

1-1 Scotland a man up.

It also wouldn't suprise me if we've forgotten that we need one.
