  1. Does anyone know how much KP pay us for sponsorship/stadium naming rights and how it stacks up to teams around us?
  2. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE... If for whatever reason we didn't go up (points deduction this season OR just a general implosion of results continuing) we have an embargo, and have to sell players to balance the books at least we have the likes of Alves, Braybrooke, Raikhy, Nelson, Silko Thomas, Stolarczyk, Marcal and Cannon to fall back on.
  3. Scotland No.2 John Carver has said we will be staying loyal to the squad that got us to the Euros and won't be looking to poach Gordon/Barnes/Gray/Livamento etc. If they ever want to switch allegiance, they can do it at the start of a qualifying campaign.
  4. Leaked Scotland home.
  5. Scotland kit for the Euros is just the right blend of hideous and stunning to be a classic!
  6. I think that's mainly because he's playing on the side of that inverted FB. If the RB is gallivanting around CM, he will have to be a little more switched on to protect that RB area in case of a quick transition by the opponent. I don't think it is coincidence that there has been a notable increase in his defensive duties recently since Hamza has been playing RB. That's not a dig at Choudhury but his ability to read a game isn't at the level of Ricardo's so he is being caught out of position more than Ricky would, leaving Abdul to step into that area of the field to help him.
  7. Something high energy, high press, forward quicker. Basically the opposite to how we play. I'm not saying that we should completely change to a whole new style. I'm saying we should have an alternative for when what we are doing isn't working.
  8. What's that? 3 weeks till our next game? Time to get them drilled on an alternative style of play, a different approach/formation that we can at the very least change to because this one is getting pedestrian and predictable.
  9. That depends on how much they pay us for stadium naming rights and sponsorships... Is it a fair market value? (I genuinely don't know this,) could it be higher to increase our revenue?
  10. Look at it this way... Let's say you set a shopping budget 10 years ago. Do you think you would still get much for that same budget these days after the price of everything has went up? Same sort of deal... we are trying to adhere to FFP rules from over a decade ago that have never been amended to consider how much more expensive it is to run a club these days.
  11. Ndidi is out of contract, is he not?
  12. Okay... I think I follow. When were the financial reports submitted? Any idea?
  13. That doesn't make much sense though, does it? If it was purely our finances from THIS season then "we were in the PL" wouldn't be a viable defense which it clearly is, given that an independent panel have sided with us. Also, if that were the case, the EFL wouldn't now be looking to change the rules and sync their financial report times with the EPL. ...So it MUST account for at least SOME of our finances whilst in the PL, no?
  14. So essentially what you're saying is, their projections on us breaking the rules by the end of the season are all based on our last financial report which took place whilst we were still in the PL and don't account for any finances from this year?
  15. I wonder what an "EFL business plan" would entail and why we are so against it if it's imposed to prevent us breaching FFP? I also wonder what our alternative to a business plan is?
  16. WTAF is going on? I expected this entire thread to be full of comments like " what a silly question" and "close thread" but instead it's full of people who would actually prefer to win the cup! If we won the cup, we would HAVE to cash in on some of our better players and it would restrict us on the players we could sign. Europe or not, we would have a weaker team next season than we do right now JUST to satisfy FFP, in turn, hurting our chances of going up next season. Going up eases our financial burden significantly and gives us a chance to improve on our squad.
  17. Does anyone else feel like a straight 442 would be a very good plan B with the squad we have? A strike partnership picked from Cannon/Daka/Vardy and Nacho could be lethal. A CM duo from 2 of KDH/Winks/Ndidi and Hamza could work with them sitting a little deeper and playing forward passes to our strikers and wingers. We could definately get a strong CB pair from Vesty/Cody/Nelson/Faes or Doyle. Our starting wingers are both good enough defensively as well as going forward. Plus Albrighton. Our only limitations would be at FB with only two really good options but as far as plan B's go... thats all we would need for a fast, attacking alternative to what we have been doing.
  18. The impression I've gotten all season is that Enzo doesn't make massive changes to how we play as he has full faith and devotion to our plan A but honestly? I'm starting to question wether or not he has the ability to change it at all and if THAT is the reason for the stubbornness.
  19. It's just the same almost every week at this point. We go a goal up relatively early then slowly let them in it more and more as the game goes on until we are clinging on to a result by the end and it's only by the grace of Mary, Joseph and the wee donkey that we got it this time. It could have quite easily went like it has on a fair few occasions this season and we throw it away in the last few minutes. ...and the worst part? We will do it again at the weekend.
  20. ...but he clearly WAS aware the player was there. He was facing him. I think the penalty that Celtic got was far mote of a contentious decision. I mean, the red card can be argued either way were as that's never a penalty... no way shape or form. It's closer to being a FK for Hearts.
  21. That's not really weird though, is it? If there is no-one near him he can't hurt anyone so it's not dangerous... Seriously foul play is deemed "any challenge can seriously hurt an opponent"... Having your studs out 5ft in the air has potential to seriously hurt someone, malice or not.
  22. Aye, it was definitely a later kick off. I remember, me and a few friends going a walk up the hills before realising that we were damn near in Port Glasgow and the walk back would take longer than we had so we ran to my cousins house to watch it which was like a Lions den of tims! Lol.
  23. Was watching him the other day against Celtic and thinking the same. Looks to have real potential.
  24. 1999, I remember it well. Rangers won the league at Parkhead. There were 3 pitch invasions, 3 red cards, a fan fell from the upper stand, the ref was bust open by a coin thrown at him, ugly scenes afterwards and I remember Neil McCann's (who scored 2) parents home in Port Glasgow was vandalised. A nasty footnote in the history of Scottish football, they've carefully tried to avoid that scenario ever since.
  25. He's like that guy who everyone knows has the clap but still manages to pull all the fit girls
