You're probably right, it makes more sense than what I thought he tried to do. I thought he tried to catch it with the outside of his boot to Doyle on our left.
-
Sessioned Griselda on Netflix today. Very good show.
-
I think he'll do a great job up there. I was listening to him doing punditry the other week and his knowledge of the game is incredible.
-
That's the annoying thing though. It doesn't matter how gash players for the top 6 are, they will always get another decent move or two. It's not like it is for us and you, where a bad signing means you are stuck with a poor player, they somehow always manage to move on their dross.
-
100% it was a silly reaction but never in a million years a red card. What is ironic is, I wonder how many of those same fans have said the words "the game has gone soft."
-
The Stile forum is good for a laugh. So many of them moaning about Mcateer's "iron iron-clad red card" whe he PUSHED one of their wee fellas.
-
I think playing in lower leagues is incredibly important for a young CB. Some of them seem to coast off the size and physical advantage but in those leagues, you can't because everyone is big and strong so you're forced to develop other aspects of your game.

If you go to Morton, give me a shout for any help or advice you need to plan, or even a beer before you shoot off. My home town team.
-
Aye, this playing players in their best position nonsense will never catch on.
-
Maybe.... at 28 and only if he gets a move to a top 6 side, regardless of how good he gets.
-
This lad needs to dig out his old Scotland kit and get himself a ticket to Germany this summer.

We want a post match thread for every goal

Mcateer as an #8.

Enzo's exact words were "I'm not going to talk about it" that's a refusal to talk about it. Admittedly he did say he might at a later date but as of now, they absolutely refuse to discuss it. I can't remember who exactly but there was a reporter who was usually in the loop being cut out after last season following a few articles speculating about our finances and (admittedly rumours has it) it's Rudkin who was behind it. I'm not talking specifically about finances and have made that clear, I'm talking about the club and/or Enzo showing a bit of sympathy for us being completely in the dark OR accepting that, that enforced ignorance will lead to unrest. If you don't like points being repeated or questions being asked over and over, maybe football forums aren't for you...
-
Just a "we understand the fans frustration" or something along those lines would be a start. Not an out right refusal to even consider explaining. But if they aren't going to say anything then fine but they can't say anything about the fans having their doubts ether then. Rudkin can't complain about journalists speculating. Enzo can't threaten to take his ball and go home if the fans don't back his ideas 100%. Either try and empathise with the fans doubts or put up with the speculation and anxiety that those doubts breed.
-
Like I said, a bit of empathy. Show that they understand the fan's frustration. Ensure that the club are doing everything they need to to secure a profitable future, convince us the club is in good hands. Just saying "I'm not talking about it" and that's it comes off as cold and doesn't provide any peace of mind and when you hear the club moaning about what certain journalists print or when Enzo is moaning about the fans energy post game... they can't expect anything more from us if they aren't doing anything to help the atmosphere around the club.
-
Enzo's comments on it are even more frustrating. I get it's not necessarily his place, he might even have been told NOT to but as a club, you can't hardline point blank refuse to say anything about something like this and not expect the fans to fear the worst, get frustrated and cause a sh!t atmosphere AND THEN b!tch about the fans not buying into the clubs vision and being negative when we have no idea what it is. I'm not asking for a public breakdown of our finances or how we operate in the transfer market but a bit of openness or even empathy towards the fanbase's anxiety surrounding our future would be nice.
-
Hopefully Inter agree to mutually terminate his contract today and we can just sign him on a free. That would be nice.
-
I was never really invested in this signing. No idea what it was, he was clearly talented but I just never got excited about it so I'm not to fussed about not getting him in specifically but it is worrying that we couldn't get SOMEONE in. We clearly wanted someone and although we can't know what's went on, there is clearly something that's off.
-
What's ACTUALLY happening is, we've heard rumours that our fans are planning on using the Shawn fvcking Michael's theme as his song and we've sacked it off because we could never recover from the sheer embarrassment of it.
-
The thought of the deafening silence of the KP on gameday being interrupted by a half-arsed rendition of Shawn Fvcking Michael's entrance music is just too much cringe for me to handle. I think I'd rather not sign him at all than see that.
-
If it's not "I believe in miracles, since you came along, you Sensi thing" then we never deserved to have him.
-
I'm not convinced anything will happen today.
-
I wouldn't be so sure. A typical 23 year old GK is still about 7 years away from his prime.. If he's this good at this age, clubs will be paying attention.
