Wouldn't he have had to notify the club he was leaving last month in order to do so? So he could refuse to sign a pro deal but he'd still have to do this season's scholar. -
Very much back on good terms.

Wilder has put his faith in academy players in the past, as recent as the last 18 months where he built his side around 3-4 of them. For that reason i'm not as horrified as some.

One of my favourite ever players, the one thing this glorious era we've had on and off since the 90's is an iconic ex player of ours to become a successful manager with us. Would be class. GEH IT KINGY -
I don't see it being Dyche as he'd probably cost more than Rohl anyway.

Needed an eartha kitt pal 😂

He gets the odd thing right very early over others. Ghezzal and Ayew he called all summer the years they signed. Ghezzal was a weird one as it's not something you'd think to make up 😂

Yes, despite how good Monga and Evans are, he's the only one out the three getting in for England U17s currently. -
" experienced manager " " close ties with agent " backs up what another journalist who covers us in the national media mentioned to me. Funnily enough Tanner has said the exact opposite that we want a Maresca type up and coming manager. We are that erratic I think it's hard for anyone, even Top to know what we're going to do.

I'd give it this lad and see where we are at Xmas https://www.facebook.com/share/v/16ZiKqovKm/

Basically a less impressive Nigel Pearson.

Hideous in the transfer market but will bring through academy players.

Isn't the compensation halved for another Championship club? It was reported in the press to be the case.

Yeah possibly but the situation on how this conversation arose, i'm not sure why his mate would be gobbing off like that about us. We're hardly a topic worth being economical about the truth with. It's a few unconnected people that have said sone similar things now.

He was supposedly interviewed and offered the job several weeks before RvN was informed he was going and sacked. From the other things Martin's pal has said, it is not surprise Brussell had concerns about taking the job. The positives are he was told the club is up for sale and that we don't think the points deduction will be significant so promotion is still the aim/expectation. (Deluded?)

Nelson, Aluko, Alves, Page, Monga and Evans. There's others too not far behind. -
Russell Martin was offered the job and this has come direct from Martin's best friend, which i'm not sure why he would make that up.

Get me a manager who will put faith in this pool of academy players. I don't want a manager coming in and giving the likes of Reid, Faes, Coady, Vestergaard etc a chance to prove themselves. 65-70% of this squad need to be told they've got no future here and get out of our club. Make the place unpleasant for them and let's rebuild. I've had enough.- 620 replies

Having spoken recently with a very well respected journalist, we may well want Rohl but we also have this notion we need an experienced manager to sort the player culture at this club. Once again the club don't have a strong vision, they're undecided. An experienced manager might well be out of kilter with the mass of academy players emerging, so this really is critical they get this appointment right and it's worrying we're probably once again at the mercy of agents presenting the candidates for us to be easily convinced by Top and Rudkin.
-
It'll be from a select band of managers who have been presented to Top and Rudkin via agents and then will be very much down to who does the best MS PowerPoint presentation. I'd be looking at which managers Johnny Morris has links with as well as CAA Stellar. We really are that limited.
